Are you guys playing in actual clan matches vs other clans?

I am in a clan with a few friends as it just makes meeting up in game easier but not having any actual clan games.

The idea of the spawn grenades are to get your team in the best tactical position possible, so putting them near choke points targets etc seem a valid use. I think having both teams SG close to each other doesnt give any tactical benifit to either team, ideally one of the tacticians should find somewhere behind the enemy to spawn from without the smoke giving away the new postion. In longer games such as s+d as the SG only last 90 seconds if you can dominate the other side so there tacticans cant use SG, its a great benefit as you can re deploy your team to stop them earlier. A saboteur can help greatly by disguising themsleves and taking out the other sides tactician, before they have a chance to deploy one. When every one has unlocked all classes and secondry items then im pretty sure SG will be used far more sensibly as people are not trying to get the spawn ribbons. Squads are probably the most important "weapon" in the game that seems very under used in our clan games, there will be one squad and that will be about it, i think every person should be in a squad makes the game far more enjoyable and helps greatly to win games.

forgot to say, if you are after medic unlocks, try the pistol only servers, as you can only spawn as medic or default class, you should be able to get it easily there.

once you are in a squad, can you only talk to your squad and no one else? is there a button you can press so you can talk to your whole team?

I think everyone can hear you, including the other faction.

You can talk to people in your squad no matter where you all are on the map, everyone else you can talk to when you are in close proximity to them, including the enemy.

Well I'm not sure if I will be playing tonight. It seems Virgin Media have screwed up something with my IP Range. I was told on the phone this morning anyone with an IP address starting 94.*.*.* is experiencing broadband loss on a large scale. That was at 8am this morning. It would appear that my internet still does not work.

How do you get on pistol only? I remember on bf2142 pistol and knife servers were awesome but you would always get one monkey who uses a machine gun!

I might have to remove a few people soon who haven't been very active. I have noticed a couple of guys who are still recruit rank. I hate to do it but it's only fair that we give each slot to an active player.

Meloco65, if you read this you were too slow on the draw mate and I have revoked your invite. Sorry but like I say we need the slots for active people.
