The *Official* Eve Online Thread

Also if you can do exploration, try and hunt out gravimetric sites, in low sec (and I keep banging the same drum here) we found a hidden belt with about 70+ gneiss and ochre asteroids, we only mined a 1/3 of it but it yielded over 750 million ISK of minerals. Not bad for a couple of hours :D

Not sure what you last heard but a high ranking member of BoB applied with an alt to Goons and was subsequently refused entry into the Alliance, the BoB alt then spoke to a recruiter saying they were actually a high ranked director in Black Nova? was it? a Goon intelligence officer I guess you could say took the member aside and ended up confirming his claim, when the bob member provided details to the inner sanctum of the bob forums, again please correct me along the way.

When the BoB member defected, he basically had alliance control, he disbanded the BoB alliance name? or did he fail the alliance fee, somerhing like that, which immediately closed the alliance, kicking all the corporations, the effect of this is the shut down of alliance pos', jump bridges, cyno jammes, and loss of all sovereignty? also the Goons registered the BoB name under their flag, so stopping the former BoB from using it again.

That is about as much as I know, and before we start it all off again :) I am a neutral the above isn't a dig or support for either side :D

Errm....I got pwned :D

Installed the game earlier this evening, been doing the starter missions and its fun. Now how do I find the rest of you? Going solo in the universe seems a bit daunting!

I must be missing the point. A Thanatos needs months and months of training compared to even a command ship (Astarte) and is, well, overkill. Plus I didn't think you could jump in Empire, and also.. a Carrier in faction wars? What the hell? How overkill do you want to go? :/

Training time depends where you start, of course. I already have all the skills bar the capital and gallente carrier skills, so it was a fairly straight choice. Don't ask me why I trained fighters without being able to fly a carrier, OK, I have no rational reason :p

A few people have been using carriers and dreads in FW, I agree it's not the smartest which is why I got the Astarte (and another Deimos, and built up my domi up for faster missioning, with the carrier fund), but it was a big temptation since the few guys with carriers seem to have a great time just occasionally unleashing the things on unsuspecting fleets. I've been on the receiving end of that a couple of times and it looks like fun... But I think you did get my point, we're kind of agreeing. The active FW zone between gallente and caldari is lowsec though, not empire.

Whats the cheapest option for subs currently then?

So far i've worked it out as...

Getting from eve direct, 3 months €38.85 so ~£11.33 a month
GTC 60 day $34.99 so ~£12.39 a month

Gone are the days of £7.50 a month :(

I've got a fair amount of ISK but i don't know if you can get GTCs via the secure system when you don't have an active sub...

After resubbing a few days ago and getting myself back to Empire space, I am now happily working towards a mining barge :) I have kitted out a kestrel to go and try some low sec, and have my drake for missions, all is good in the world :)

We're all spread out! But most of us are within a few jumps of Isanokka.

Grab your gear and head over there, dock at Isanokka 4 Moon 2 and apply to the OCUK corp (if you want...) and on the left hand side of your screen, select channels, then join a new one named OCUK.

No longer shall you be lonely in the dark!
