Half-Life 2 FakeFactory Cinematic Mod V9.5 HD Mod (9GB!!) on Vista x64??

Any one installed this and got it running on Vista x64??? Its a big mother and im not downloading it if it doesnt work.

"The FakeFactory Cinemeatic Mod v9.5 HD Complete is a 9 GB file that takes time to download.

Not used it yet, but planning to download it at some point. Where did you find the full v9.5 file? I can only find v9.0 & the v9.5 update.

yes it's fine, but it a memory hog in every sense of the word - system and gpu memory.

- 3870 512MB in crossfire & Q9650 quad, 4GB ....i put off installing these mods because of only 2GB of RAM.

Loved the HL2 games

Not sure a 3870 is going to handle it very well. According to the creator it'll lag even the best PCs.

Oh well i could run Crysis @ 1920*1200 fine but had to turn down the post processing a few times. Oh and on the big levels because 512MB wasnt enough.

Il download it. Anyone suggest some URL's. Im not joining filefront

my pc runs this ok on high everything 16CSAA 16CSAF but my pc is power although it does do small stutters just after "Saving"

My Pc spec is i7 940@ 3.6 280GTX SLI SSOC 6GB Ram.

Quite possibly, even the creator of the cinematic mod has said that he's pushed the Source engine to it's limit which is why it lags.

Not sure if this will help but.......

When I upgrading to 8 gig of RAM, HL2 was the only game that wouldn't work. The quick fix was:

Open steam, my games, right click on HL2, properties, set launch options and add the comment "-32bit"

Worth a try !

Theres a 9.51 you can get via torrent whichiis worth getting, dont need 9.5 update with it either as both rolled together. Good mod! It stutters and has some slug areas compared to normal. Saving and reloading usually sorts this.

Works fine on my Vista 64 (i7 w/ 6GB ram). It's incredible. Well worth it if you're PC can cope.

Unfortunately only working host I could find is torrent via piratebay, others were down, seems fakefactory torrented it as his usual upload site is apprently quite slow to validate and approve new uploads, and he wanted the update out quicker. The file is a little larger than the 9.5 update; as it effectively contains that update plus more.

Works fine for me, although for some reason HL2 doesn't run in 64bit mode.

Would have thought 64bit would have worked since it can address all that extra RAM instead of just up to 4GB ?

Well I had no issues playing it and did not need to use -32 bit switch, no stuttering, no slowdowns. In fact HL2.exe didn't even use a GB of RAM in total.

Looks nice though...

sorted it as a awesome friend gave me ep2 :cool:

installed mod but hl2 crashed after second loading scene

ep1 works fine and alex does look well lurvleeee

ep2 i havent done anything on it and i think you need to have completed it to work.

wheres best places to put up high res screenies as imageshack wont let me cause too big

(prefer somewhere where i dont need to register)
