Cash machine, why lie?

The ATM recognised you as an Apple owner and realised you'd be easily fooled then took twice the amount needed out of your bank account. ;)

It'd be in the banks interest to keep money in your account so they earn interest off it (unless of course it's a credit card).

I have a suspicion the owner of the ATM commands a percentage fee per transaction, therefore you withdrawing more benefits them.

in all of my days, ive never seen an ATM that dispenses fivers. i didnt know they existed.

What is the point in this? I hardly ever see machines that draw out £10 any more, and those giving out £5 notes are even harder to find.

Bah..

WTF I have never seen a cash point that doesn't do 10s unless it is out of 10s. Hardly any cash points do 5 as hey need replenishing to often, that has always been the case.

Don't worry, with the new 'cash injection' there'll be FREE MONEY FOR ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

mwhahahahahahahahaaha

Or at least, that's how I understand it? ;)

Probably get more fee from your own bank if they force you to withdraw more. That and get some last minute OD fees and hope people dont win them back.

Don't worry, with the new 'cash injection' there'll be FREE MONEY to buy the rich and wealthy out of the hole they lead us in to.

Fixed.

Most round here do 10s fine.... there is a single machine inside HSBC I think that does purely fives. Was wonderful when I took £100 out of it :/

It's been a very long time since I have seen an ATM that gave out fivers. In fact it would probably be about be about 20 years ago.

I was damn suprised to see the one give me 20x£5 notes :/ You can't actually withdraw £5 but it is only stocked with them.... odd that.

It's worse when you're trying to withdraw £300, and the machine gives it to you in £5 and £10 notes.

I had a fat wallet that day. :D

I've noticed more and more machines running out of £10 notes earlier and earlier in the day throughout Bristol...odd.

Lloyds Rant

1/Basic accounts (the one they offer those on benefits when the DSS couldn't be arsed printing Giros no more) can only use there own ATM's as us peasants should obviously have to walk several miles just to get a 10
2/The balance it gives you when you take your money out it doesn't take into account money you've paid out on your card you have to actually go to the check balance screen to find your balance available. Went hungry a couple of days before I got onto that trick
3/£5 notes are only stocked in ATM's in the student area ( you know students loans coming out there ass credit like I'll never see ) and not in areas of high unemployment who do need to get that last fiver out the bank cos there leccy just went and the banks aren't open till tommorow, ahh well time for night lites again

/end rant

I hate banks

I've not seen a £5 from an ATM in years tbh.

The cash machine outside our university union gives out 5ers. It means as you are going for a night out, and withdraw £30 or £40, you get loads of 5ers and are more likely to break into each and every one of them to buy drinks.

I always wake up with about £15 in change the next day :p
