U2 - No Line On The Horizon

Not me - I first saw them supporting Cliff Richard at the Greenbelt Christian Festival.
I went to see them during Boy & October and I haven't liked anything else they've done since then.

I'm pretty sure U2 came top in a thread that was started on here called 'What big bands do you dislike' or similar.
U2 walked away with it while RHCP & Radiohead came a close second.

i know greenbelt! my uncle started them in norfolk on his pig farm! years ago! it's quite a big thing now moved to chelt

I used to be a born again Christian in the 70s and went to the Greenbelt Christian Rock Festival every year and they had some cracking bands on.
The Alarm were also another Christian rock band.

Who said kings of leon are over rated?

They have only really made it big in the last couple of year.. they are amazing.

This u2 album isnt their greatest like they may say, but its a lot better than the last album.. its quite good actually... getting rid of the fact its a u2 album and just listen to it its a very good album, but as soon as people see its a u2 album they turn off

I've given this album a few more listens and I am really liking it. Especially the first few, unknown caller is a nice song. It reminds me of a few tracks from all that you can't leave behind.

yeah i had it on today in the car when i got stuck in snow, hearing it all the way through makes it better than picking random tracks as and when

The album is certainly their best since "All that you can't leave behind" which was another Eno produced album funnily enough. But, I definitely do not agree with what a lot of people are saying in regards to it being up there with "Achtung Baby" and "The Joshua Tree" just no way. On this album there is probably 5 really great songs, whereas both Achtung Baby and The Joshua tree were albums full of all great songs.

Listened to various tracks from the album a few times now - it's going to be a grower. There's a few distinct tracks that immediately stand out, but the others will take some time. Q gave it 5 stars, and said it was the best album ever!

Tour dates announced on Monday apparently. Looking forward to it. Saw them in 2005 last, want to see them again.

yeah saw them in 2005 too, i reckon your gonna need to be a member on the site to get the tickets

There's apparently going to be a companion cd released later this year as well, probably something like Coldplay did with Prospekt's March.

Typical really, you wait five years for an album then two come nearly at once.
