Demoing/ordering 7.1 home cinema next week

Do I need one or two phono to phono leads or do I need a Subwoofer Y-Splitter lead
If you're using the low level input (from the receiver, i.e. not high level speaker input)

If you only have a single sub woofer output socket on your equipment, then connect up using one of the pairs of leads (red to red). In this instance use the (Mono) input on your Monolith sub.

Thanks fornowagain!

The demo was a nightmare simply put I took my girlfriend. I have ended up sticking to a 5.1 surround sound set up tbh less hassle and maybe going 7.1 at a later date, also I have ended up going for a Panasonic over a Pioneer due to the fact I was blown away by the Panasonic TH65PZ800B also another 5 inches, I can live with the fan noise who sits that close anyway! I have also gone off the idea of a B&W ASW610XP and gone for a B.K. Monolith. So the following is in the post winging its way to me!

2x B&W 683 floor standers "cherry"
2x B&W 684 floor standers "cherry"
B&W HTM61 center speaker "cherry"
B.K. Monolith subwoofer "cherry"
Sony BDP-S5000ES "Black"
Onkyo TX-NR906 "Black"
Panasonic TH65PZ800B

Please can some one help me out please as I'm really confused as to what subwoofer cable I need for pairing a BK Monolith Subwoofer with a Onkyo TX-NR906. Do I need one or two phono to phono leads or do I need a Subwoofer Y-Splitter lead .

You only need the ONE subwoofer cable. A splitter or 2 cables will make little or no difference. Get a good one though. Look for Mark Grant, Scorpion or Blue Jeans cables. Damn beaten.

nice Tank, that's a lot of floorstanders ;) 684 as rears good for you :D

no kuro  - I got mine a couple of weeks ago and so glad I did - can't believe I waited so long to get a plasma

PZ800..................../facepalm x2

Not imo, just fact :(

Panasonic PZ800 < Pio 8G < Pio 9G < Pio KRP 60incher !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:D

I'm almost tempted to 'upgrade' to a 600M if my 500M takes ages to arrive.. but hmm.. x2 the cost =

:pEach to there own I think the Panasonic TH65PZ800B looks great not as good as the KRP-600A but I would say about equal to the PDP-LX6090 IMO.

Don't understand this set up myself, expensive BDP, why ?.... No Kuro ? , rear floor standers, sorry is pointless, would be better to get the DS3 dipole, as B&W recommend on there website... each to there own... either way I hope you will enjoy it.

There is no such think as a sub woofer cable, it's just a single phono lead. So don't pay over the odds...... "Silver" is not required on a "sub cable"

I need floor standers to the rear as I don't want wall mounts or stands also floor standers are less likely to get knocked over so easily also the DS3 dipole's are **** at the rear ok for a 7.1 at the sides but not in a 5.1 set up. also I'm very happy with the Panasonic aesthetically and visually.

Is the Chord Company Chameleon Silver Plus a good subwoofer cable?

Snake oil. I'm guessing that is an expensive cable right? :)

Sorry, the panny set to it's best still wouldn't come close. No idea what demo you've seen but the Kuro 9th gen eats anything alive on the market. Won't go into the price of the sets as you don't seem to have that issue here ;)

I suggest specsavers, always been good to me, or maybe try vision express.

The pz800 can't match the 8G let alone the 9G. Trust me on this one ;)

And any shielded subwoofer cable will be good, no need to spend monie son chord.
