More new GPU units -big pointers

As above, just picked up some new units on the FAHcore_14 (new advmethods nvidia one)

project 5902
1680pts each, looking like much longer run times

~9-10hrs on my stock 8800gtx's but thats with the core14 program pulsing as it does with the other new units. wish they'd just let it run free!

hmmm.. one of the cores just caused a driver stopped reponding error and bailed on me :mad:
restarting rig...

EDIT: think it was me trying to open the viewer on the gpu client that cause it to bail :confused:
Anyhow picked up three more so will soon see if its just some early instability in the WUs, or if it was a random glitch!

seems just to have been a random glitch, nearly completed the first one and got two more about half baked.
 
These things are massive!!!

I nearly had heart failure when I saw the ETA...:eek:

Getting 3700ppd on these with my stock 8800gt, not bad I suppose. :rolleyes:

But thats killed my days crunching score for yesterday....down 1000ppd 'cos I only did 5 units. :mad:

Still I supppose when this one shows up on the stats in an hour or so, it'll boost up todays score - maybe :)

I hope you do have it sorted. Mine started doing exactly that, which made the computer basically unusable, so I had to stop the client. I still haven't got to the bottom of it :(

my second one died at 41% after lunch when I started used my pc again :(
Did get 701pts for it mind - so not a total loss :)

EDIT: just checked for you viking - you got 1434pts for yours :D

Hello all ...

Yeppers, they are more points, but they brought things to halt here due to the new core, so I had to install a new wrapper for things to work properly. Was away from the computers for a couple weeks and didn't have a means in which to check outputs :rolleyes: That's my excuse, I'm sticking to it :o

Long story short, the farm is back to full production, all be it, with these newer WU's things seem a bit slower.

I must have done about 10-12 now all sucessfully and without any bother. I'm feeling abit guilty everyone else is having loads of problems :p

These WUs have been ok for me. I prefer them to the 511 point ones which used the most electricty for the least ppd.
