Man, some of the google earth pics are well out of date, just had a look and my old grammar/6th form is still on there...

It got bulldozed and rebuilt into one of them fancy pants accademies years ago...

The street that we live in is only 4 years old and on Google maps it used to show our house and a couple of others in their completed state and then some foundations for the rest of the houses. Google now shows a completely bare strip of land with no signs of any buildings at all. Time travel by Google......................ooooooo!

That's because apparently only the zoomed out stuff is done using a sattelite - most of the higher res stuff is aerial photos.

Where i live they have built a new dual carriageway, however on google earth they originally put it in but have since 'pasted' over the original layout and so the main junction is ghost like with a load of ghost cars waiting there :

It was definatley there last time this thread was circulating GD. It's a shame you missed it; of all people to appreciate the fine craftsmanship that went into it, you would be one
