Portuguese police seem to be pretty pathetic. First the Madeleine incident, now this.
So a cop hits someone with a baton a few times, and in return has a thousand football fans kicking him all over. You can see when there is a gap in the crowd that the policeman is motionless - unconscious.
How is that a good thing? Granted it can be argued that he used excessive force, but I can't understand how some people think that the retaliation was fair, just and cool.

violence is a must to control people. guess what, it works.
The guy was clearly resisting the attempts of the police to restrain him and so they had every right to use force, its up to them how much they use cause its there lives they put at risk everyday
me retard
woah there.
welcome to the internet - where people selectively quote to save space, and make more efficient reading.
But her parents killed her ?
The police just haven't found her body yet or any more evidence.
There is no way you can clearly see what position the person is in, no way at all.
I see one or two wannabe heroes, and hundreds of cowards in that video.
that guy is obviously fighting back if you look carefully. those officers had every right to get him in control.
people seem to forget this is how the police operate over in the like of spain and portugal. violence is a must to control people. guess what, it works.
on't ****ing selective quote me retard.... & And completely change the tone of what the quoted actually said.
There is no way you can clearly see what position the person is in, no way at all.
It clearly was not his arm they were hitting
The police clearly have him pinned down. One of them is kneeling on one of his right arm, the other is the opposite side and there is one on his back/legs. You don't get up from the ground with people putting their weight on your limbs.
The guy was going NO WHERE when the popo near his head decided to start having some digs at the top of his body. I doubt it was in the arm tbh.
Brutality from the police, yes - shameless mob mentality idiocy inspired by football hooliganism, yes.
I think someone should show that clip to some of the local British plods and ask them if they think the behaviour of the Portuguese police is entirely warranted.
I don't think you'd hear many claiming that it was a "standard tactic".
They killed her, there just horrible people, I'd actually argue the case that they killed her of they popped over for a cup of tea.
Just the Media were all on sidethats whats helped the case so much.
oooo Aliens ! like ET ?
