Homeless!

sadly you will get nothing off the council except discounted council tax because you work full time so in most cases could afford to rent somewhere

put an add in the paper saying your looking for a room to rent

in these times theres probably loads of people struggling to pay rent/mortgage who will have a spare room

Good luck on finding something.

Just try everything you can think of, chase up every single lead out there, you don't want to be paying for a hotel for long, that'll really mess up your finances.

Is there no way you could get a live in position in the hotel you're working in at the moment. I have worked in hotels before and they normally have something, a spare room etc to home staff. Have you asked?

any housing associations about?

I was in your situation when i was ~ 20/21, i had a massive fallout with my parents and i was stupid and pride got the better of me, i spent odd nights in hotels, b+b's but mostly in train stations, etc, i eventually got sorted with a housing association for about £45/week i got a 2 bed terraced house and got myself sorted. 6 months i ended up homeless for, it opens your eyes, i'll tell you that much, just get yrself sorted as quick as you can, it's not nice.

Your council will not house you because you are single and working.
The waiting list will probably be somwhere near 10 years, if you are lucky.

You can get financial help with rent and council tax.
You will have to ask the council about HOUSING benefit and COUNCIL TAX benefit.
You will then pay reduced rent and c/tax, depending on your income.

Wow, a helpful answer in GD! :D

Good luck with the staff house Seek, I'm afraid your only other option will be to get a delapidated shared house, squat, or patch it up with your paretns if that doesn't work out.

got kicked out when i was 17 for spilling lemonade on my mums kitchen work top after she bleeched it, i went mental and put a hole thru a door and my leg thru the fenced gate, got up to top of the road walked back and said sorry, then went into my bedroom and played quake!

was a horrible time!

Thats not been kicked out O_O

I once got kicked out/locked out by my mum, so I went off on my bike circling the village at 8 at night in the pitch black, about 1 hour later she came out guns blazing me telling me off for leaving the house :p

Parents are mysterious creatures :p
