The one simple fact everyone needs to keep in mind about the police is this;
If ordered to do so, a policeman will use force against any member(s) of the general public to impose the governments will, even if it goes against public opinion.
Sadly, the public includes men, women & children.
They will use specialist equipment to do this, and any democratic laws around assualt / common assualt are thrown out of the window. They will (try to) hurt you.
I ask you now; in your jobs, would you allow yourself involvment in ANY situation at all where you might willfully, physically harm another person, just for a few hours pay?
Would you beat a woman to the ground for £10? -A policeman would.
May I be bold and call that post a complete pile of dog eggs ?

VS I value your input because you're a professional and you know what you're talking about. I am glad to see that you do not condone the use of the baton, which served absolutely no purpose whatsoever as far as I could see, except to inflict gratuitous pain.
I know of a cop who got grabbed to the front in a bear hug and was unable to get out so he had to use an unorthodox technique.
Any guesses what he did ?
He gave the gentleman a big sloppy wet kiss on the lips?![]()
He bit the guy?![]()
Close.
He kissed him on the cheek and the bloke let go ......![]()
Personally I'd have done the obvious and gone for the crown jewels meets knee variety....![]()
Watch it again - a little closer. He didn't do anything wrong, in fact, he chided his mate.PMSL....I don't condone violence but that copper got what he deserved...
