My X is asking me to give up my daughters last name

Absolutely. She voided her own argument so lost my vote.
 
The kids Should have the same name.
I had 2 step kids before my daughter & I had my daughter adopt the step kids name.
A Man has to rise above inner feelings to become a Real father.
A Daughter will marry & give up your name anyway & a Son can use your name once he leaves school.
No biggy, No dramas & the Kids are put first Just as it was meant to be.
What is important is your relationship with your child Not a name.

I don't see the logic behind her wanting to change the child's surname. If she gets married in the future and she wants them to all have the same name then surely it's an issue to tackle at that point.
