Why the **** can't people drive?!

I don't drive myself but I hate people who can't park properly. Like the taxi driver who parked accross the pavement in front of a garage entrance leaving virtually no space to walk past resulting in his car being scratched down the length of it as I tried to get past it, or the crane type thing that was parked accross the pavement and 2 lanes of the main road so there was a huge traffic jam, or the other day when a digger was parked on the pavement outside the new spar shop construction site, so people had to walk into the main road to get past it.

i hate people that park their cars with their wheels still on full lock

also women and christian fish wearers that think that slamming on their brakes makes their cars narrower

Had an interesting one today as well.

Was going down a narrow country road, some ***** in an old Impreza comes belting around the corner, in the middle of the road. I swerve but he still clips the wingmirror!

He didn't even have the grace to stop and apologise. Luckily there was no damage but I heard screeching of tyres a few seconds later, so i'm assuming he almost came unstuck with someone else.

Cracking one this morning chaps! :D

Same place, where the lanes merge, I was waiting to merge in and some tool in a Corsa was having none of it.

I put the window down to explain merge in turn (he already had his down) and he just went yep, yep, yep as I was talking, tool

About 500 yards down the road, he stopped to flash someone out who was waiting to turn right (the road we are talking about has a chevron centre) so the traffic infront of him got a fair bit ahead. He crept off pretty slowly, cue me slamming it into first and hooning past (awaits road safety flaming!)

As I passed him I was just hitting 5k in a rattly diesel, epic noise :p for some reason this amused him, and he preceeded to tailgate me shaking his head, fun!

@ the road safety people who will be along shortly to point out why my driving was dangerous, I made sure the centre of the road was clear, no traffic in my way etc. And no speed cameras of course :)

as long as the chevron's weren't bordered with a solid white line then you did nothing wrong.

I doubt any safety people will be along...

But still, why bother overtaking if you weren't actually going to make progress? It just makes loads of noise and drinks fuel.

Sounds to me you got more road rage than he did! :p

More to annoy him than anything, I thought it was hilarious :p

Plus the fact when I'm at WOT at high revs I absolutely pouuuur smoke, it was like black fog, and he had his window open. Serves him right!

And I wanted time to use my newly found powaaar....

:)

Hopefully it wont be too long before either the police or VOSA pull you over and give you a vehicle defect notice.

:D I'm sure it won't be long, I need to get the fuelling sorted!

I probably have my own ozone hole following me :)

LMAO what are the chances of that? seriously? Their cameras only catch you when speeding ;) (ie chances of an actual copper being around and doing anything about it=0)

had a great one last night. North bound on the A102 i think it is towards blackwall tunnel. I was joining the A102 from the last joining point. At this point the A102 is 3 lanes, but reduces down to 2 normally, but tonight it was reducing down to 1, as 1 lane through the tunnel was shut, and the A12 on the other side was shut also.

Now this last slip road joins the A102 at least half a mile before the road is reducing down to 1 lane. However 90% of people had ALREADY merged into lane 1, and were nose to tail not letting anyone join from the slip road. Now if everyone had used all 3 lanes there wouldnt have even been a queue in lane 1... So i squeeze out into lane 1, straight into lane 2 and merge inturn at the very end with no issues what so ever. Sigh...

Then through the tunnel its supposed to be a min of 10mph but it clearly wasnt happening, but me, and the car behind were being smart. Instead of stop starting we was getting upto 10mph and sticking to it (he was holding even further back from me), while the cars infront raced off at 30mph before stopping like 10seconds later due to the "wave effect". I never really had to stop once in the tunnel. unlike the guys infront of me ;)

Now this guy behind me knew how to drive too. He allowed me to merge in turn, and he kept flow up by keeping a steady speed. If only everyone drove like that.

I try to drive like but then you get a load of morons come along and screw it up

According to Fifth Gear France is the best country for driving standards, excellent lane discipline and respect for fellow motorists!

Having driven the length of france i would have to agree with Fifth Gear, dual carriageway and motorway lane discipline is brilliant, nobody is in the outside lane for more than the 10 seconds it takes to overtake the car if front, then they move straight back in. Town driving can be a bit of a pain though (but where isn't it annoying!)

Yea I love riding/driving in france! specially on the bike lol they fall over themselves to make room for you, its a massive shock compared to this country where its the opposite lol

yeah but some years ago I remember everyone on french motorways was doing at least 120mph, with most traffic in fast lane sitting at about 130. wonder if it's still the case...

U sure it wasnt 120kph which is the speed limit over there? ;)

Yeah i heard that the bikers who took offence to the car drivers not moving in would give the car a boot with their lovely metal toe protectors! :D

Yea its quite a strange relationship over there!, they really do have a go if you dont get out the way but its normal to them they dont even argue back, maybe different laws? dunno but its quite funny :p

france is awesome, apart from Paris where its quite literally the most mental place for lunatic drivers ever! and they do utterly love touching your rear bumper even if you are in a line of traffic.

but their motorways at night are sexual chocolate

Agreed with French motorways, when they don't have roadworks they are fantastic!

However when it's 3am, pitch black, foggy as hell and single lanes either way on your side of the carriageway...it's not so good :P

surely roads are empty at 3am?
