Argh 360's have blown my last nerve! Warning rant inside.

Xbox customer services have been awful in my experiences, although I have have only even spoken with Xbox Live services. They could learn a thing or two from Sony who have been very helpful on the several occasions I phoned them. They're superb.

Never had a problem when phoning Microsoft, they couldn't have been more helpful.

13 days... ******* great.

Funnily enough, I was on the phone to MS, on hold, taking Malcs advice and kicking up a fuss, when a knock at the door happened. It was UPS picking up my old xbox, with no exchange... What are the chances?!

Still uber fed up with the whole debacle though. If this xbox isn't up to scratch when it gets back to me, I will definately feel sorry for whom ever picks up the phone.

Why exactly is it that persons fault?

I feel sorry for the person who will have to deal with you as well .

Comes with the job.

I work in a call centre, you represent the firm so its always your fault. Its a pain but someone has to take the fall for the fat cats, cause everyone knows they are not paid enough to deal with customer....sigh

I was only guessing :p

But I think it's right. I was okay though since I just used my dad's 360 till I got mine back XD

I just left the Xbox scene in favour of a new PS3. No regrets :)

If you do decide to go with the PS3, you'll immediately notice the reduction in noise! Yesterday evening I configured my media server. Within minutes, I had the PS3 streaming all media from my PC.

It’s a great little (ok, not so little) media centre solution that boasts quiet operation and a smooth, easy to navigate menu system. Killzone 2 is a blast, really good fun… but I can’t comment on any of the other games yet!

I think it’s safe to say that the PS3 has proven to be a reliable console compared to the Xbox 360 so if you really have had enough… you can’t really go wrong with the PS3. Of course, as with any platform, you’ll miss out on certain games.

It's nothing personal, I don't know whom ever will pick up the phone, or nor do I pretend too. However, they are paid by the company, to represent them and deal with customers. They'd be without a job if all the customers would be super happy all the time right?

And yes, I have worked in a helpdesk environment (still do, though 4th Line now), so I know what it's like well enough to form the opinion I have.

If you still have the reciept take it back to the retailer, I did and got a replacement.

If you want to make a nice long term investment buy some 360's and put them away for 10yrs, by 2015 there'll probably only be a few consoles in existence and people with £500 worth of games so stick them on the auction site. :p

Am i the only person whos had more PS3's break then 360's ? :p and i dont even use the PS3 very often!
1 360 breakage vs 2 PS3's.

There is a minority. Im doing alright with Xboxs to be fair, well Im on my third. I had a launch one that RROD after about 2 years, did me well tbf but it was modded so didnt bother with a return then bought a falcon core that was pretty bad after about 3 months the tear-in was ridiciolus and I couldnt play 2 player local games as I use to get green artifacts everywhere, though single player was fine. Got an elite in the end on a mobile phone contract thing and its been perfect so far! Ive got 3 Xboxs in my room a Wii and a 60Gb PS3 which is still going strong from launch. Been meaning to try some better x-clamp methods on them.

That would be a good idea but I have a feeling the next 360 and PS3 will be able top play their old back catalogue natively being that they will most probably be using very similar architectures next time, I know it's only guess work but I do think it will be true.

This is why I now own a spare Xbox 360 which I bought from my mate for £20 and sold the hard drive for more than that :p

Got pee'd off with returning my 360 premium so bought an Elite aswell.

There's simply no getting away from the fact it's a very poorly designed machine with many flaws. Unreliable, hot running, noisey fans and ridiculously loud DVD drives.... I mean could they have made a bigger mess of it?

Can't argue with the games catalogue though and how poor the PS3 is on that front? Otherwise I'd have gone over to Sony many moons ago...

Theres both of mine. Ventillated enough for you?

i take it you use the small monitor for 360 gaming with those speakers being either side of it?
