Amusing stuff as the local students have a wash for the first time in years! ;)

Someone did this to a water feature on a roundabout in Darlington last year. There was a few feet of foam on the road at one point

ahh i was gonna head into stockport today but didnt bother. shall have a wonder over there 2moro after ive done my shopping. That bits not long been completed

Many years ago, I bet there's a few people on here who can remember it, the fountains on the King Street roundabout in Newcastle-under-Lyme had that much liquid soap and green dye added that the police had to stop the traffic for a few hours. :D

Where abouts in stockport is this?

The one outside the Triangle in town is always full of suds. Its abused that much that it hardly ever on these days

It's just up from where the A6 dips down into the 'centre' of Stockport near the Merseyway Shopping Precinct.

I can't understand how this was deemed to be worth the cash at all. It's in an area that hardly anyone has cause to pass by - unless you're working in one of the buildings nearby.

Not many shoppers but as you say theres loads of offices around... and argos :p

The Students do this every year in Bath The Laura Fountain spews suds for a solid week!

The local council have taken to emptying the fountain to prevent them :( spoil sports.

There's hardly any offices around there, but it was funded largely in part of the deal selling off the land between the chinese and cobdens. The council were able to sell off that land to be built on provided the rest of the green area upto the church was redeveloped.

Well, this quite obviously never gets old for the young scamps as they've done it again! :p

Happens all the time in Bristol too. Least imaginative thought process ever.

"I know! Let's put suds in the fountain! Nobody's done that before!"
