1. Yep once found them all became a little easier, didnt see the one behind the hut in the corner.

2. I've tried to huddle as many together as poss, never seem to get that many, highest combo has been 25 or so

3. yeah normally start off meleeing stuff on the way to grabbing time if I need to.

4. every now and again still get trapped by the mobs and smashed by the executioner on lvl 1 lol :(

Chickens are decent too the eggs give full health, talking about eggs, white,gold,rotten whats the fourth?

I think I might not be using the combo timers to their best, thats the only thing I can think of that Im doing wrong.

chapter 3-1 when you come to the place where the chickens are. don't chase or kill it otherwise you won't find. it should lay eggs in one of the far left bangalo. you can go back to boat and repat to get all eggs eventually

you just got to keep tapping b button to make sure she stays close to you but you must do it for 7 minutes

Not come across any gold eggs yet, got the other 3 though. Do chickens lay them too?

if you play mercenaries mode and first level you will find rotten egg there. make sure you head down ladder and you will find chicken. depending on your luck sometimes it drops gold and rotten egg

when you come to those big monster looking dogs shot it little bit then approach it and stab it in the heart. you can find them in chapter that has lots of vegetation and big tree from the chapter menu selection

That is why I ask, I have been doing the beginning of 3-1 a few times to get some upgrades and in the middle settlement are lots of eggs but mostly white ones, some brown and some gold but never a rotten one, I guess the are indeed drops as orderoftheflame says, are they drops from enemies later on as I have picked up every drop up to 3-1 and haven't gotten a rotten egg?
 
From what I've read people have been getting that egg on the harder difficulties.


Also to unlock the hardest difficultie do you need to start a new game or just finish the level using the level select?

Got it second time round with the infinite rocket launcher, so much easier when you just gotta shoot him once.

Anyone know if uping the difficultly affects drops? I'm 'farming' Lion Hearts but just stuck it on amateur and wondered if i may get more for doing it on veteran/pro ?
