50mb

:), STM has not been confirmed or even suggested by any reliable source yet, i hope it doesnt happen in the near future, however when/if it does, ill probably drop back to 20mb.

We are paying a lot, but we have XL TV + sky sports, XL fone + unlimited landline calls and XXL 50mb, its around 75 i think.

Anyway happy times :)
 
and one final bit of input into this thread for those saying that you dont even get 20mb with virgin, when i was on 20mb with virgin i got 20mb ALL the time, not once did it go below unless traffic management had kicked in. Maybe im just lucky in my area. And fingers crossed so far not once has my download speed (using new servers) dropped below around 5.66MB/s, usually pushing 6.2
 
My gaming pings are ok at best :/ they were definitely better at my last flat with my old BE connection.

BT are starting to roll out fiber to the cabinet now that Ofcom have said they wont try limiting BTs pricing. This will mean BT will be able to offer similar speeds to cable. Which should also hopefully drive down the prices of cable once BT start grabbing all of VMs high speed customers.

It will happen for sure. When the rumours where going on about STM on the older packages, we had this "it hasn't been confirmed or even suggested lark" but it came in the end.

Trust me it will happen! Dunno when but it will!
 
I'm on VM 10Mb, get the full 10Mb 24/7 and low pings.

I'm not sure what i'd do with 50Mb, or even 20Mb - all my downloads are scheduled overnight anyway and I'm already pulling down 4.3GB per hour, which gives me 43GB of uncapped downloads every night before I wake and is way more than i've ever needed in one night anyway (probably average 10GB/night atm)

My girlfriend is at cambridge and her college sets her a download/upload limit of no more than 1GB per 24hours and its £1.60 per GB after that. Vertica do you have any limitations like that? As she has the same speeds as you.
