Thanks, it's a great mount and as you mention it really does free up desk space...although the Ikea Jonas desk is pretty big anyway.

Using the mount also makes it much easier to clean my desk as you can adjust the tension on it, which means I can move my monitor up and down etc with one finger and just wipe underneath.

The main reason I bought it though was so that I could set my monitor to the perfect height and viewing angle, for maximum comfort.
 
I bought the mount from Amazon by the way, but it looks like the price has gone up a bit (£34.98 with free shipping).

I remember paying about £25 for mine, but still...£34 isn't that bad for a decent mount I guess.

In the Amazon description it says it will hold up to a 20" screen (Ergotron say <24").
It holds my 22" Samsung rock solid so I'm pretty sure it could handle a 24" screen, but don't quote me on that ;)
 
if you have a big enough desk ie wide enough you can mod it by adding a draw pack runners draws etc are available seperatly from the kitcheny type places just need to choose something that matches your desk/woodwork also panels to match!
plus if anyones got one of those desks that sags in the middle you can mod with a piece of battoning underneath ie 2x1 grip fill it or covert screwing
 
I have a Jonas and it's far more than enough room for 2x 24" monitors. YOu could probably even get three on here in triple monitor setup.
 
I need a new desk as well, so far found it to be a complete pain in the ass finding the exact thing i want...

That IKEA Mikeal looks ideal and only costs £38....excellent i thought but WTF!!!!....£35 delivery charge!!!!

How the hell can they charge nearly as much for delivery as the item itself....greedy XXXXXXX!!!...

I cant go and get it myself, as i only drive a small Mazda 323, and going by the measurements (packaged) on the web site, it wont fit into the back when the seats are folded down...:(
 
There is no difference but id say a gaming desk is more suited cos it'll be deeper and it would i dont know be more computer like :P

go for a black glass one, i know there was one i was looking at a few months back that was about 1.5 metres on the main bit. Would link you but the link I had sved doesnt work anymore :(
 
Is it just me or is there way too many corner desks floating about. Its probably mostly due to the fact that I *don't* want a corner desk. If anyone's seen a decent 2m wide desk lemme know =) .
