Am I Too Young For Radio2?

Radio 2 > Radio 4 > Radio 1

I'm sorry but Radio 1 is aimed at teenagers now, the folks on it are dire (with the exception of Colin Murray). The rest of the Radio 1 DJs are simply ego's spewing self-important drivel through the airwaves.

Comedy on R2 and R4 is infinately better than anything R1 has to offer. If there's nothing on R2 or R4 I genuinely turn the radio off and drive in silence for my 3.5hrs commute a day.

I dislike Chris Moyles, but Terry's worse; not in an in-your-face-i'm-a-dick sort of way, he's just dull.

I tell you what though, that new young chap, who's on Radio One before Chris Moyles, I think his name is Greg James or something? he's fantastic, especially when he covers the drivetime shows.

i dont commute so dont really listen to the radio, i quite like xfm's afternoon hour of classic tracks, tho, mostly decent stuff.

if i was to commute id take a different album every day, as the music on the radio is appauling with too many adverts.

I've not listened to the radio at all in years as I've not had a commute, but when I was 17 it was Radio 2 that I liked on the way to work so you're definitely not too young :p.

Makes me laugh when people say there is to much talking on Radio 2, Compared to Moyles it is constant music as that **** never shuts up. I thought Popular radio was about playing the latest tunes but it seems people would rather listen to that **** slate his mates off, Complete ******.

you just can't beat Radio 2

Ken Bruce played Kansas - carry on my wayward son, this morning, the only only place I had heard this previously was on guitar hero !!

I went to see Dara O'Brien do stand up a while back and was doing a routine about getting older and he said something like "Radio 2 isn't 'getting better' it's always been like that, it's just been waiting for you", he then went on to talk about dancing/dressing like your dad etc etc

Five Live listener :o

The thing I like about radio 2 (apart from Wogan, who I find very amusing) is that they play music from across most musical genres. I've heard some really nice country and folk music (e.g. City of New Orleans)that I would never have heard if I'd have stuck to Virgin/Absolute (I grew out of radio 1 aged 21).
