After the Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 thread, I installed Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 and 2 and am now craving for more!!1

Spec me the best tycoon games you guys know of.

I havent played many, but if I remember the first Hopsital Tycoon was really awesome. The last one in 3d etc.. like most other tycoon games that went this way is poo !

Mall Tycoon was a-reet, as were the Zoo Tycoon games.

I am developing a game called Tyke Tycoon. It is computer based simulation where you have to manage the lives of Northerners, specifically those from the disticts of Yorkshire. You have to decide on things like, the prices of flat caps, how many whippets a property can sustain and how to balance your northerners natural affinity towards coal and their natural resentment of soap.

That's incorrect - soap is okay as long as it's made from coal.

I played the demo of Prison Tycoon a long while a go, it was rubbish!

Theme Hospital was the best tycoon game of all time! the latest one (as mentioned above) was dire!

it had the potential to be good though. if made properly, and had an 18 rating! we could have all had our own shawshank redemption

Definitely, I love tycoon games, but there are many games that could have been good if made properly.

I want Theme Hospital 2, as Molyneux owns Lionhead now, maybe they will release it

they will go and ruin it by putting it in 3D though... the tycoon games, and theme games should have stayed in 2D i find the 3D gaphics ruin the game.

Yeah I agree with that 100%, they make it 3d cos they feel they have to. Make it clever 2d (that has that 3d look) and it will rock!

EA holds all Bullfrog's licenses (Theme Hospital, Dungeon Keeper etc), do you really seeing them releasing a good game like this? Any of Bullfrog's games infact? It's not in their nature.
