oh noes. PS3 loses another huge exclusive?

So GT5 on PS3, PSP and perhaps PS2 sounds good to me. PC it may happen but as Sony dont hardly ever put exclusive games on PC, only SOE MMOs, then i doubt it will appear on the PC.

True but none of their PS3 exclusives have cost as much and taken as long to develop. Sony will want maximum returns on this without harming the PS3 and the PC is the most logical way to achieve this.

I really wouldn't be surprised if they did release it.

i'm so gonna donate my Ps3 to you seeing you have to post in every PS3 thread with your hatred for the console and it's games, lol

Hatred, I want a PS3, I want to play GT5 but its just taking the **** with delay after delay, when it comes out it will have to be the best thing since slice bread.

GT5 only started to be developed in reality in 06, as GTHD was going to be the first part of GT5 but was scraped and GT5 "proper" started development. GT5P has sold approx 3 million copies that would ease the cost quite a bit IMO, and this will sell many times that when its released. I also cant see many PC owners wanting to play Gt5 that much, as its not hard core enough for the serious racers.

Gran Turismo doesn't come close to the driving simulations out on the pc, not even CLOSE! I still much prefer Gran Turismo more though as its the first driving game I really got into back on the PS1.

Gran Turismo (with all driving aids turned off and it set to 'simulation mode') fills that gap between arcade racers and full-on sims and that's why i love it. I don't want to go sideways around a corner at 120mph, but i also don't want to have to race every corner with pixel perfect accuracy. I want a game where i can rag it like a spotty faced boy-racer but also pay at least a little attention to the laws of physics.

They simply advertise it as a full on simulation as people feel so much cooler if the game makes them believe they can race a F430 and not smack head-first into a wall as would very likely be the case in a simulation. It's what helps it sell so well.

The only way to play GT is with the G25 wheel. When I had my G25 and turned off all the aids in Gran Turismo 5, it was a different game. I had to re-learn 7 years of playing gran turismo.

Screenshot looks shocking IMO. check the quality of the reflection in the mirror, like something off C64.
Guess comparing to Grid and dirt on PC is a bit unfair though.

Screenshot I was referring to has now been changed, Just so you know. OP clearly a fan of the game as felt the need to change screen shot, why not just show the new one from the start?

does it really matter lol. most people already knew it was from an early build and even beta didnt look that bad. gt5p certainly doesnt.

regardless, sony are going to have to do a lot better. im hoping the time its taking will be worth it

Considering this screenshot came off from video trailer footage that was shown at "E3 2005" when the PS3 wasn't even out yet and was just still in the hyped up phase. This is the same E3 when that infamous so called "in-game" (Pre-rendered) Killzone 2 trailer was unveiled.

Blatantly MS are going to go all out to ensure Forza 3 blows GT5 out of the water. Reckon MS have given Turn 10 resources to burn.

Well considering the Driving force pro was developed in conjunction with the developers of gran turismo i like to think that does the job just fine.

I'm sure it does a better job than the DS3 which is... oh my... that appears to be what you have to make do with, oh woe is me with my force feedback wheel :p :D
