Anyone hate twist beer bottle lids?

my mate has a pair of sandals with bottle openers in the bottom of them, looks really unhygienic :D

i've seen a bottle before that has a bottle opener in the base of each bottle.. so if you have two bottles, they can open each other, very cool idea :), edit, I think i saw this... either that or I dreamt it

I wouldn't know. I always open my beer bottles with my teeth, like every idiot does.

:D

Fixed. Why would you risk your teeth, possibly costing hundreds of pounds, just to open a bottle of beer when there are inventions (bottle openers) that have been invented to stop this exact problem happening?

Oh, and I drink cans :p

I love them. I only use half my finger width and press down (otherwise not enough grip) and turn so I'm not touching the 'spikey' bits. If that makes any sense...

If i twist them off they basically grate my thumb and finger
if this is an issue for you i think you should put down the bottle and go get yourself a carton of ribena or something, less likely to hurt yourself that way:p

take a lesson from her!!!

(dont worry theres no nudity in video;))

but seriously, most of the beers i drink arnt availible in twist off lids, but on the odd occasion that i have had a bottle of something like miller or such i have found it to be very convenient.

your not mad check my post :p

I usually just bite the top of the bottle off, then spit shards of glass and blood all over the people nearest to me, showing them my dominance.

But seriously i've never seen a beer bottle with a screw top in my life. They have all been bottle opener jobs.

I've only seen it on bottles of Miller and the like before so the answer is no, I don't hate twist beer bottle lids, I don't drink Miller often enough for it to irritate me. :)

Twisty-top beer bottles ***!! So au-continental. :D

The normal sort of beer bottles that require the bottle openers always catch me out, as I always seem to lose the bloody things (the opener, not the beer!). Besides, the missus is sick of me using the side of the work top to open my beer, aparantly it's damaging it or so.. I argued that it gives it that authentic 'used' look.

She's not talking to me now. fs. :(

The Perlenbachers I get from Lidl are twisty-tops. So are the San Migs you get in Spain. Those are the only two I know of though.

I don't think they're that hard to twist off though. If it's really hard, just use your shirt like others have suggested.

I dont think I've ever bought beer with a twisty top. Usually drink pints when out, so only really tackle bottles in the house (usually a continental lager for home drinking) and all require a bottle opener.
