Pulling a knife requires no skill or fitness. Hitting someone from behind stamping on their head when they fall requires no skill or fitness. Knocking someone out requires no skill, strength or fitness.
You are the kind of person that would stand there & let somebody take a beating, I am not, Each to there own & I can say it without digs or snidey comments.

He is implying that they are "weak". I am merely pointing out that it doesn't take strength, fitness or skill to knife someone, or knock them out. I am more than confident in my fighting ability, but avoiding a fight in the street is a sensible option. You could lose your life quite easily, even fighting someone you perceived to be weak, unfit or unskilled.

Well it depends seeing how I've never encountered it. You're obviously happy to make immature baseless conclusions though.
The world isn't some warzone where we all have to be on our guard looking out for the nearest thug to lay waste to. We're geeks on an internet forum posturing about fighting and its so inane when you look at it from an outside perspective.
Like I said, Police are trained to deal with these types of people and they have minor armour, they're co-ordinated, they're organised, fit, strong and level-headed.
A group of tired people on a bus are none of those things.
Apart from the big black chap they all look like little wannabes scrougin for a fag. Who can say what they would do in that situation until it happens. One thing I will say is that it would be quite surreal, and what ever you do you probably won't have time to rationalise it.

I've been in the same situation. A guy attempted to mug me outside a train station in marseille. he was drugged up on something and seemed pretty out of it but he was pretty forceful trying to get my bag off me. Anyway I saw two pretty butch looking guys just standing watching what was happening. I shouted at them to help but they just stood there looking worried. So i had to fight this guy off on my own. I managed to get him on the ground and drag tug at my bag until he let go (because the straps broke) and then went inside the station. *******. Thinking back, i should have kicked him a few times in the head while he was down on the ground. Anyway it happened to be about the time of the london bombings so there were military police about the station and i saw the guy wandering about later on and got the police to grab him.
Im so ****** off those other two didnt try to help me though, it would have been three of us against him and if he was going to do something stupid like pull a knife he would have done it already.

Why on earth someone would just stand by and watch someone get beaten up is beyond me...
Fair enough if its 8 lads battering some guy on the other side of the street - phone the police and get safely away from them or a guy getting mugged at knife point, its a wallet... not that important
but if its an incident like the one in the OP's video... 4 guys just battering one fella, 100% step in
malc is dead right, its the fear the attacker puts into the victim and onlookers that make them non-reactive... i'm sure everyones seen it in school one time or another

has anyone seen the shocking video on one of those lame video shows on TV where theres some dude talking on his mobile in a take away and a woman comes in and tries to skip the cue...the guy tells her where to go so she starts acting like a total ***** jabbing him with her fingers etc shouting in his face...she goes outside..and comes back in...followed by a huge black dude probably 18 stone .. and the woman starts giving the dude more jip and he turns his back, not noticing that she is now accompanied by this friend, and finally has enough.. slams his phone onto the floor and turns round to her to tell her to &&&& off because upto this point he's been as passive as possible but she forced a reaction from him.
cue 18 stone dude starts taking some massive swipes at this dude. EVERYONE and theres about 5-6 other people in the take away just stood there watching, no-one even moves. and this dude takes some pretty big shots ends up staggered, taking more damage then cops a pasting on the floor. No one flinches.
Couple leave, then come back 5 secs later, as the dude has dropped his Watch, or bracelet or something, and he scours the floor for about 20 secs...no-one moves, says anything, or does anything. working in and around thise dudes crumped body.
at this point the dude on the floor could be dead or critical imo.
it was truly one of the most sickening things i have ever seen as real footage, (from cctv in take away). The lack of reaction or help from anyone in the shop was shocking, moral stance was completely bleak in its outlook on this one.
the aggressor dude got about 4 years AFAIK. i just wish i could find the video ont he inetrnet somewhere, because i think more people need to see it.

I've seen it - very sickening.
However, given the lack of ANY training that your average member of the public has, and the lack of coordination, had anyone else jumped in they would suffer the same fate, or worse.
