Windows 7 build 7077

Stuck x64 7077 yesterday over 7068 and find it much more stable. I feel I can use this almost as my primary OS. To be honest Windows 7 offers nothing to me over what Vista already has. In some cases I find Vista better, such as creating shortcuts on task bar. Try to create a short cut for Recycle bin or Computer or Games explorer. It just "pins" it to the explorer menu (which is rubbish, I want to see my drives, not those libraries.

This should be a service pack or theme for Vista.

Could somebody please tell me if it's possible to upgrade from Vista x32 to windows 7 x64 without losing any files? Or would i have to install the 32bit version of windows 7?

It's easy as. Simply backup your files. Fresh install, put files back on. Cant do an automatic upgrade though, will have to reinstall.

^^^ Think it was neowin I read that you could upgrade from beta to rc but it will be tricky, I didn't see how you would do it though.

Thats a bit of a ****** then :(

as Skeeter on the last page said, a fresh start for the RC is a good thing, no hangovers from multiple tweaking /changes from previous builds

so all RC users are on a fresh install, instead of ms chasing their tail with reported non-issues :)

Only way I know of upgrading is from Vista to RC & nothing else. Pretty sure anyways.
