Any help / Advice would be great guys. I am so confused!! Any others you can recommend that does not have a limit on the hard drive capacity?

no sata caddy should in reality. any limit stated is literally because that was the biggest drive available for testing at the time . i dont know of any sata controller in existence that limits the usable size of the hard drive connected to it:) 750gb drives are confrmed, anyway.

no, as i said, any limit stated is literally because that was the biggest drive available for testing at the time. dont worry about what size drive you can use. ieve never heard of a caddy that doesnt accept any size drive.

no no fans, its the size of a 3.5" caddy - they are all largely the same. obviously its quiet it has no moving parts, and here's a picture of mine:

The only problem that I know of with that IcyBox caddy is that you can't easily jump between the eSATA and USB interfaces, you need to open the caddy up and swap a cable internally. OCUK have an IcyDock one which will let you jump between the two but it's a bit more expensive and only available in silver.

Avoid anything that goes anywhere near having Sumvision written on it.

Nabbed a couple dirt cheap for moving files back and forth from PS2 and they both died pretty fast :(

After a mega search for a HD caddie , ive might go for the Coolmaster X craft 360 or Icy Box which are both black to match my PS3 via usb , not sure which 1 now ,

Regards Shane :)
