Who was the guy who said he's eat poo if this game ever came out, certain it was someone on here!

How so? its been restarted a few times so dating isn't really an issue.

I also don't get how people seem to go on about how long the games taking when they have restarted it on new engines. Not as if theyre just tweaking some things they have restarted the game a few times but apparently the clock doesn't get reset when that happens.
 
Thinking about it - it wouldn't suprise me though if they did release something... just a hash together just to get some cash back from the name.. out dating will occur unless it's been restarted this year which I doubt - as engines move on very quickly...

I'd be absolutely gob smacked if it came out this year and was brilliant.. hell I'd be gob smacked if it was average...

If that was released back in the day when it was supposed to looking like that it probably would've been one of the best games ever made.

All this chopping and changing they've done, I have a feeling will have made it much worse.

You can't say it would have been one of the best games ever made because of how it looks! Gameplay, gameplay and erm... yes thats it... GAMEPLAY! Must be at the forefront of the game to make me even entirely interested.

True but as a big fan of the original first impressions seem rather dissapointing.. Looks more like Doom 3 than the realistic/bright settings of the original.
 
They mucked it all up when they ditched that almost finished version they were showing off around 2001/02, and started from scratch to compete directly with the upcoming D3 and HL2. They should've stuck with the older version and released it because it didnt look that bad, and they wouldn't be the laughing stock they are now.

If I won the lottery I might just buy out the rights to this game just to get it released. Although the current owners might not sell, they clearly want Duke Nukum to live on forever (who would still care about it if it came out 3 years ago?)
 
hhmm I hear Doom 4 is coming, jesus christ what can we do??

I know lets scrap everything we have and just start again.

2018 - rpeat above phrase.

2028 - I have retired now and bought a nice caravan.
