Penknife

Yeah, well i just got the Forester for under £20. Might arive on saturday if i am lucky, but probably won't get it till monday/tuesday. Looking forward to it :D A lock knife with other stuff too :D

Need to ask a mate where he got his knife from. Some awesome 5 inch lock knife that you can flick out with some speed. It's very impressive and also is Teflon coated :p

Got a leatherman e300 - a retired series but pretty much replaced by the c33 as far as I can see. Excellent locking knife with no gimmicks. It's never missed a beat and even with lots of use, the blade is very easy to keep sharp. I'd recommend one of their smaller multi-tools if you want something with a few more bits on it.

Boker Magnum Companion

It mainly gets used for letter/parcel opening. :o

Good site to read if you want to know a little more law about carrying knives.

http://www.akct.org/page3.html

Bear in mind even a penknife with a folding blade under 3 inches long can be construed as an 'Offensive Weapon' if used to threaten someone etc., As for lock knives - any knife that has a mechanism that locks the blade into place and prevents it folding accidentally back into the handle is a lock knife - this includes all those Gerber and Leatherman multitools.

To posess a lock knife in a public place you must have a lawful or reasonable excuse, examples of these include for work use (such as a carpet layer or a carpenter), Religious reasons or part of a National costume. Note the public place aspect - you can have a lock knife in your posession in a private place, such as your house. Bear in mind though if you have a lock knife in your car whilst it is in a public place then the car itself is NOT private property.
