1 Month of no beer :(

Damn, where do you go? If I go for a night out I limit myself to £20, and that is more than enough. Though going out is rare this year been as we are all working on our final year at uni.

Same here, although I suppose we have an advantage being students, and can go out mid-week where its dirt cheap :D
Last time I went out on a weekend I spent £60...thats enough for three nights out on student night :o

Yeah I tend to get way too generous if I'm really drunk - that's when nights out start costing double what they should :D To be fair I earn quite a bit more than most of my mates so don't mind putting my hand in my pocket :D

Same reason here, i tend to think if my mates are happy im happy and i dont mind spending my money on that ;)

I drank more in my final year at uni than any other, it was easily the best year of my life to date.

Perhaps more to the point where do you go out that £20 is a night out? :p At £2.50+ a pint and say £5 to get into a pretty average club you can see that you get a max of about 6 pints and club entry - not forgetting that you can't actually afford to buy a drink while in the club or a taxi home if you need it.

It's a lot easier if you go to student unions to have a cheap night but even so it varies significantly depending on what you drink and what time/whether you get any special offers.

I think your main problem is drinking pints in a nightclub. Who the hell wants to drink that foul ****water? You're never gonna get drunk because it's mainly water anyway. Drink spirits/bottled beer.

Holy crap, just worked out what I spent on takeaways and eating out

*faints*

Time to buy Microsoft Money I think :( This never happened when I was with the last gf, she used to hold on to all my cards so I couldn't go silly :D

I'm just illustrating how easy it is to spend more than £20 on a night out, I don't tend to drink pints in a nightclub because if I'm going to be dancing a pint is a bit of a disadvantage. The price of pints is pretty standard in most of the bars I go into, there are a few where I can get a pint for under £1.50 but I'm not about to go somewhere that I don't enjoy as much for the sake of saving a couple of quid at the end of the night.

And beer tastes awesome although I'd rarely spend the entire night drinking it.

Haha what a solution to finding out you're over spending. Buy something!

I spend £20 on a night out, £30 tops!!

For me - for example

£2.50 - £2.80 a pint.
Something to eat - £5
Taxi - £8 (although I've just moved and expect this to be £15 now)

I don't go out often anymore, and don't get hammered, but £20 wouldn't even cover my travel expenses!

Well, I've wanted an upgrade for a while, and rather than just wee it away, I'll have something to show for it... I'm going to need some entertainment while I'm not out round the pub too ;)

I used to spend about 2.5x my rent money easily a month on going out

I've since calmed down, never drink during the week now (I drive to work, and I refuse to drive hungover in fear of causing death to others).

Now I spend about £30-120 on the weekend I guess, so to 'save up' for any pc gear, I just have the weekend off :)
