On the possitive side the 192 has more torque than the 230!![]()
And taller gearing, which pretty much cancels out that torque advantage by the time it gets to the tarmac.

they are a total waste of money IMO.
I did not go into this with my eyes closed, far from it.
I know they can be somewhat thirsty but I reckon if I take it easy most of the time, it won't cost much more than the 2.0 mondeo I part-exd.
i dont miss the running costs lol I remember one time mazda charging me £300 for a full service and change of plugs, I nearly cried![]()

This is so true for me. It's costing me the wrong side of £200 a month sometimes accounting for both fuel and oil, but it's brilliant fun, especially through corners and it's my first 'proper' car. However, I already have an itch for a top end A3, a Z4, a TT or... if I somehow find 10 grand/a lot of patience, a Cayman.its his first proper car.
It will be fun for a while, and then he can chop it in for something else when he gets fed up of the fuel and oil costs and gets an aching for something faster.
