Being a Blizzard GM

Probably the worst job ever, as the ticket waiting list in the game is about 24h forget about easy time at work, checking websites and chatting to mates over msn, but more like constant targets and deadlines.

why would you want to be? I can't imagine a more tedious job. Why not get a real job and play WOW when you're not working.

Its a good start to get in to the mmo industry, other than that its not great. you also need to move to Paris.

Does anybody know how difficult it is to be a Blizzard GM? Pretty staright farward question :P

I'd say that covers it and it sounds very dull

Someone on here recently did get a job as a GM at Blizzard.

I'm sure a few minutes with the search function and you'll be able to find it.

Most of the GM's I have encountered hardly fall under any of those categories.
But yeah it sounds very boring and you'll have to keep logs of everything you do to make sure you are not dossing around.

Like posting on forums at work.

I know an ex gm - he said its not only boring and tedious but its not as in game related as you think. firstly you need to be as brief as possible when in game, all non-direct communication needs to be done via precomposed mails, you have a short time span to fix each complaint and the hours are pants, not to me mention the average pay.
