Struggling to find this setting. Went to Settings/Phone/Phone management/Device updates/Check for updates, and nada. Currently on v 20.0.012, with O2.

Anyone know of any software out there to monitor the amount of data I am downloading, used to use SPB Wireless Monitor on my Omnia but can't find similar for 5800.

Red phone. Both OTA and via Nokia Updater.

I did the exact same thing, and it says nothing available. Im with o2 also. My phone is red if that makes any difference.

But why wont it then detect my phone on the nokia software updater even?

I start the software thing, and it says make sure the phone is on PC suite mode, and to plug the phone in via the USB, and then it says its detecting the phone, but then it says it cant find any phones, and that if the problem persists then I should reinstall it, but I only just installed it for my 5800 I havent had it on my computer before now.

When I plug the phone in with the software updater turned off I get a little box pop up that asks me what I want to do and gives me three options, one of which is take no action, the other two are something about viewing files and transfering data.

20.0.012 was only made available a couple of days ago on o2 so dont expect the new firmware for a while because o2 tend to take forever geting them out

Thats strange - Im on o2 and my 5800 updated to v20 2-3 weeks ago

even on the o2 forums there was people wanting to know when it was going to be updated

I am on O2 and updated to V21 the other day by just going to update on my phone.

I got the same thing on my main machine with XP. I installed the PC Suite on my gf's laptop running Vista and it works fine.
