I think the Malouda one would have been very soft, the worst of it was outside the box. Kinda thing you'll get a free kick for, but not a penalty. Same with Drogba. He has got hold of his shirt, but he doesn't pull him back or pull him down, he doesn't go down till the keepers got the ball. Pique one was a handball imo. Don't think the last one was though, his arms weren't above his head, it was hit so close into his body and hit his arm.

Never a red card either.

I think, tbh, Chelsea were very unfortunate, but should have been better. They should have scored more goals and made sure, but not good enough.

It was a foul outside the box, then again as they moved into the box, and the most definite foul of the three was the last one. I can't see how you missed it, he's got hold of his shirt with one hand and his other arm across his throat/face.

That's what I seen, not sure what Baz was looking at. :p

Equally Malouda had an arm across Alves. The only clear foul imo was outside the box.

I don't understand how fans / pundits are saying that Barca weren't in the game ?

They bossed the game, controlled the play and looked comfortable on the ball.
They dominated both legs, and played much better "football".
They had lots more shots / passes over both legs.

I don't understand where the Chelski were better is coming from.
They were much better second leg, but still looked worse, Drogba wasted chances.

Apart from;

Their crosses were dire.

They tried to walk the ball in the net.

Yes, they had more possession but that means bugger all unless you turn it into GOOD chances. How many good chances did Barca have tonight?

IMO you're just talking crap. Chelsea created chances, Barca tried to be too cocky with it if you ask me.

Man Utd supporter here!

Caught the last parts of the match, have to say Chelsea should have had a peno there, can see their fustration. Really unlucky tbh :/

I wanted Barca to go through also, because i dont want the same final again, want to watch something different!

Unlucky Chelsea :(

Chelsea didn't offer much football in the first game, but limited Barca, which was the plan.

Barca had one single shot on target in the second leg...

First of all i cannot put in too words how furious i am, here is my opinion on the 4 penalties. In my opinion there were 2 BLATANT penalties and 2 that you see given on a regular occurrence.

Incident 1- Florent Malouda was pulled down INSIDE the box, for me a penalty. I will give the referee the benefit of the doubt as its one of those controversial ones but imo still a pen.

Incident 2- You won't see a more blatant penalty. Drogba's shirt was pulled AND his leg was tripped. No more needs to be said, how this wasn't given is a DISGRACE. Abidal should have been sent off, barca down to 10 and Chelsea 2-0 up with 60-70 mins to go?

Incident 3- Pique handball was like above as BLATENT a penalty you'll ever see. Anelka was going to take the ball around him and potentially score

Incident 4- Yet again another penalty but one you sometimes get and sometimes don't. Most importantly though Eto'o MOVES HIS ARMS IN THE AIR and clearly blocks the direction of the ball. If his hands are down by his waist its not penalty but the fact is his arms were in the AIR.

As far as the game goes, Florent Malouda.....wow, just wow. By FAR the man of the match.

I'm absolutely gutted and reading the facebook status of scousers makes my blood boil, didn't we knock you out? Jokers.

Chelsea's defence was superb tonight. They did indeed limit Barca and did it very well, Barca looked baffled and didn't know what to do with it.

I was just going to say, if I posted something like that against Birmingham or a team I hate I'd get warned for it. :p

I was only agreeing with the poster I was quoting, oh well. :D

I bet that ref will be the subject of some very nasty abuse over the next few days. I was amazed on Sky after Drogba's outburst they apologised for the swearing and then proceeded to repeat it after the ad break and apologised again for it twice!

You didn't take your chances though did you ?
Drogba over two legs could have scored 2/3 goals.

Arsenal try to walk the ball into the net ? so what ? Barca play good football.
Barca had the control of the ball, they passed you off the pitch.

How many GOOD chances over two legs did they're possession create ?

Chelski had chances to put the game to bed, yeh Chelski should have had a pen or 2, but maybe you wouldn't be so bitter if Drogba scored.
