Windows 7 hits RC stage Build 7100

baha! Just done the re installation to Win7 RC1 and now my audio is not working! It was working fine on the BETA version but not now.. tried to manual update the drivers and it just time out for me and Windows is saying its working just fine but can still not hear anything!

I have the ASUS Xonar D2, does anyone else have or had a problem with this device also or is it just me?!?

I've installed Windows 7 64 bit, messed with it for 6 hours, couldn't see what the fuss is an dgone back to XP Pro.
If it ain't broke don't fix it is my saying and I don't have problems with XP.

OK installed the RC into the partition where I though the Win7 beta was when actually it was my main WinXP partition. Cut to the chase, I want my WinXP back. Its in a folder called Windows.old, what do I need to do ????

The only motivation for me to move to Win 7 is that driver support for XP-64bit is crap and quite a few games are starting to use DX10.1 which at least has some performance benefits.

To be fair, from my brief usage of Win 7 so far, I am pretty suprised by it's speed and responsiveness, but then again, I've been getting that from XP for the last couple of years. :o

It may be but it still runs all my programs flawlessly.
What's the point of putting another OS on that doesn't do anything extra?

Up to you at the end of the day but Win7 is the way forward and it won't be long before XP is not supported by Microsoft and won't be compatable for gaming etc etc
