New BlackBerry 8900

on my normal gmail account i have filter setup from ocuk so it goes to a folder and is marked as 'read'. On my BB it comes in and buzzes as a new email, do i need to create filters?

Yes you can set up email finters in the BIS control panel?

Never used them though so not sure exactly how they work.

Picked up my 8900 last week and I really like it. Its work issue on 02 - had to decide between Bold and Curve so passed the opportunity to go 3G in favour of a slightly better better screen..! Didn't realise they devices had different processors. Still, liking the 3.2MP camera + the greater onboard memory.

Can I get satnav software for it? Want to make better use of GPS!

I've got the Vodafone satnav on my Bold but it's terrible - Vodafone give it to you for free but I'd never pay for it! It's from Telmap I believe...

How do i get that i'm with o2?

From the device you'll need to create a user name by clicking on the email settings icon in the set up folder. Then, once you have a user name & password go to www.o2email.co.uk and log in using your new credentials.

coincidence methinks - Blue signifies a Bluetooth connection, red signifies new message, green signifies signal coverage (which I switch off as it's just annoying - of course I have a signal, I live in a city! I'd rather have a no signal indicator).

You can get apps to change those indicators though, but never used one.

ok must have had a bluetooth connection when i set it up, yeah might change them if i can find a good app

Best app for changing led colours is Berrybuzz...you can set various colours for notifications and also has the vibrate and ring function within it...i use it on both my Bolds and its superb...only $5 or something like that...u can get it from crackberry app store or the RIM app store.
