L.A. Officer kicks suspect in the head!

The judicial system allocates the punishment

in america thats true, guy will get the book thrown at him
As for this country, there is no justice. Im fed up reading in the paper about criminals being set free, or gettin community service and all they do is sit about all day whilst meant to be doing it

this country is a joke

he deserved it - but it wasn't upto the policeman to do it...

is it me or does the cop high-5 the dog handler afterwards.

In this instance we can all see the person caught was guilty of various traffic offences. Since he had surrendered and was complying the cop shouldn't have done that. How do we know that this cop doesn't do that a lot to people a TV station chopper haven't filmed? Who's to say he doesn't do that to people who turn out to be innocent?

I like watching programs like Road Wars and the like on Sky and when I see chav scum giving the cops abuse and resisting arrest I'd love to see them get the **** kicked out of them by the cops.

It's a slippery slope we find ourselves on where the actions of that cop in the video become acceptable. I'm sure no one here would think Rodney King got what he deserved do they?

The perp will walk free and the cop will be suspended, charged with assault etc etc..
Yes, the world is completely ****** up.

At least the toss pot on the ground may think twice before doing it again..maybe :(

Appropriate punishment for that officer is being sent for a psychological evaluation. Nothing more.

I expect the perp should get at least 5 years ... in jail!

I can't tell of some of the people in this thread are serious, but anyone who thinks this is acceptable is rather foolish.

Yes, in this instance he was guilty but but it isn't always so black and white and it is not a good idea for the cops to start dishing out punishments.

**** the police.

Should have got the tazer out as well, sick of these idiots endangering peoples lives then complaining when the police are angry at them for doing it.

The Police are not supposed to be angry at suspects. They are not supposed to take anything personally and should deal with suspects professionally. The Police officer was clearly fired up over the fact that he had to partake in a car chase and subsequently a chase on foot. But that is his job.

Tough luck, can completely understand why the Police get so worked up about this sort of chase.

I can't. The Police officer should be professional and not take things personally.

The suspect had totally surrended (laid face down on floor, hands on head), yet the kick was administered. Totally out of order.

I know you are a Police officer. What is your honest opinion on this incident and what would happen to you, if you were filmed doing what that Police officer did to the suspect?

My honest opinion is that the officer is completely in the wrong, unless the suspect had a weapon that we didn't see and he did at the last second, which I doubt is the case.

If I did that I would be suspended, arrested, charged and very likely jailed.

Cops can use whatever technique they like as long as they can justify it.

A kick to the head is up there with potentially deadly force and in the video I saw, I can't see any grounds for it being used.

If the cops saw a knife in his hand at the last second then the kick becomes justifiable, even when the cops has a firearm pointed at him.

What I saw looks like a combination of red mist and gratuitous violence.

Does anyone know what the guy actually did?

If he had a broken headlight its a bit uncalled for, if he was a peado then id have given him a head stomp american history X style

Oh who gives a ****? Tree hugging ****** hippies.

Run from police, expect a beating. It's quite, quite simple. We've gone too soft as it is.
