I completed Mirrors edge single player after 4 hours.

It is a alright game, graphics are nice. The game is deffently Different.
Run everything maxed out with sometimes a little slug.
The Combat is a little lame :(. The shooting is only fun for about 10 minutes.
And the running gets boring after 2 hours.

The only fun aspect of the game is trying to find the fastest route. :)

What are you views on the game?

What you said except I didn't complete the game. And the maxed out part.

To add it has set a new place holder in games atleast, they can develop the gameplay of it further and it will evolve into something spectacular I think.

what spec is your machine? I only had slowdown when I was using an ATI/nVidia combo.

I thought the game was fantastic, whilst short. The gun combat was horrendous, but that just added to the feel that you're a runner, and not trained in firearms. The fluidity of the game is the best thing about it - it just feels so smooth, when it could easily have been clunky. Some of the scenes were really immersive, and a few times I actually had vertigo :p

One of the best games I played this year, imo :)

I completely agree with the above. The visuals are amazing in this game, it could have been rather bland with dark grey concrete everywhere.

When I completed the game, I never once used a weapon anyway.

And mine does get a bit sluggish at parts, you guys must be running low resolution, or superior machines. :)

I loved it, but I loved portal more.

I hold both in the same vein though, being completely new ideas that were implemented well, if a little short.

Best two games in recent years.

i completed that the other day too

i really enjoyed it, it did get a bit frustrating at times, until i worked out where i was supposed to be going.

I'm not normally very good at these jump around kind of game, i only gave it a look cos it was first person. Third person games really seem to do my head in!

ran sweet as a nut on my age-ing machine

i'm looking forward to a sequal

The gameplay seems to be similar to prince of persia sands of time but in FPS view :p
Didn't get along too well with Mirrors Edge though... the route that you're meant to take are sometimes too fraustrating to look for.. but still good fun :)
I'd probably give it another go in a few weeks when I get bored :p

I think they missed the ticket personally - having a free running mode as well as a mode with some of the more annoying jumps removed and some better gunplay added would have made for a really good game, specially if they had mixed in a little story in the actual levels.

It can actually be quite fun to shoot stuff - few things didn't come off right as I was capturing while playing.

You know you can press the ALT key and the character will look in the direction of where you need to go.

Yeah, I know, but It doesn't exactly give you an idea of how to go about getting to wherever you need to get to. It just shows you where you have to get to.

i really enjoyed playing the game too, infact its one game that has impressed me recently. Yes it is short but it is very engaging and as for the running/puzzle part thats what i was expecting and i wasnt disappointed. ;)

The only thing it could have done is given you A LOT more freedome in how to get to places in my opinion :)

The second one might implement it and more fighting moves :D YEAH

I am running a 260 GTX Black Edition :)

Yeah theres a couple of places with really frustrating jumps where if you messed up you had to replay almost a minute of the same thing each time to get back to the jump... and mess up again...

Also a couple of places where the sequence to get to where your going isn't clear at all like the bit I've got too atm where theres a tall room with several stories of scafold and other "under construction" and a few jumps that if you mess up send you right back to the bottom again.

Hahaha, Yeah I had that problem

Just completed it as well after figuring out how to actualy play and save the samn thing (EA are not partition friendly).

LOVED IT, the gameplay idea are brilliant, alright the gun combat sucked a fat one, but your not a comando, your a girl who spends her time jumping around roof tops, I personaly tried toa void guns, made it a bit easy.

Realy hope they bring out a sequal, would love to see what they can do with the concept.
