The Samsung OmniaHD i8910 ... this NEEDS it's own thread.

Looks like i might have to wait for this handset to come out on 02, just got a free pay as u go sim from orange, and i only get 1-2 bars in my area. but at work i get full 5 bars :( but my sister has 02 gets 4-5 bars at home and near my work place

What were you given before you cancelled? Was it the same deal but £77 for the handset? Also, according to orange website, you get sat nav from £35 contract onwards.

New contract free phone dolphin 45 for 39.75 direct through orange but call them.

I got tariff for £5 less per month and insurance included worth £6 so not too bad of a deal i dont think plus i keep my number and magic numbers.

Do you think its worth it to get it on orange, if im gettin 1-3 bars at home, and full bars at work??? im so undecided. or just wait for it to come out on 02?

The arena seems to be the only other device that does everything I'm looking for (and is actually available now), but it can't install applications, and seems to have a rather naff overall OS.

So why on earth would you even consider it. :p

just rang Orange. They want me to pay £391 for the handset.

I'm not doing that LOL.

Yeah the Arena seems a naff phone tbo.

There has been no confirmation from Samsung as to when UK consumers can get hold of the sim-free version of the i8910 Omnia HD. The only dates that we could rely on were from the retailers themselves. We were expecting it to be launched on May 25th according to a ****** listing, however it now appears that the sim-free version has been delayed by a month.

****** now lists the 8GB Samsung i8910 HD for release on 25th June. This has also been confirmed by Expansys, a major mobile phone retailer, who has the same date listed. This is disappointing news if true, it means Orange will be the exclusive provider of the phone for the next few weeks at least. We are trying to get confirmation from Samsung themselves regarding an official release date.

Well no, as it massively lacks features. I'm looking for a phone I like the look of, that also does all I need, quite hard to find actually :(.

I'm not being funny but do you think you're being a bit too fussy? What looks and features do you want?

Yeah, I know I am. Always have been about buying new stuff like this. Means I get something that I am totally happy with though. Feature wise I could list you exactly what I'm looking for, basically everything the I8910 does is a requirement, minus the HD recording.
