Best way/place to invest 15k? - no risk

Its the government not the FSA that are the baileroutters lol
The FSA are just the regulatory body.

The risk of the bank accounts etc is the loss of real value due to inflation :)

War - entire government and all authorities within being dissolved.
Or anarchy (with the same effect).

Granted, it's a very small risk, but still there ;)

Anyway, the FSA aren't obliged to bail out their banks are they?

The FSA don't bail out banks.

They do guarantee (through the FSCS http://www.fscs.org.uk/) depositors money (upto £50k per individual FSA licence).

You cannot invest without risk.. that's why there is reward. If there were a free way to make money, we'd all be doing it.

@OP do you have a partner? If so, get her to take out a cash ISA also and thats £7,200 together in each cash ISA.

But what about the "ABSOLUTELY NO RISK" easy way to make money schemes online??!!?!

What is the risk involved with putting the money into a bank which has FSA protection?

the government and treasury collapse, along with your bank? frankly, i think we'd have bigger things to worry about it that happened, but your money would be gone :p

As has been said no risk = no reward.

I'd suggest maxing our this years ISA and putting the rest into the highest interest savings you can find. Then dripping the money into ISA's as we enter new years.

moneysavingexpert.com will help lots

You can deposit it in my account, it will be used wisely as upgrade pc money. :)

Did you read the post?

Just dump it all in a ftse all share tracker, you need risk to reap reward. There's no tax to pay either because it's capital gains.
