MONACO Grand Prix 2009 - Race 6/17 Official GP Thread

As I've said all along this is just max's usual tactic. Shock, pull back and lets see what the teams come up with.

If they do nothing F1 will die anyway.

He asked them to come up with something they did nothing. He threw a compulsary set of regs in to get them all moving. They have all bleated about needing to cut costs so they got what they asked for.

A cap of £60-70mil will be agreed on then bring it down till the credit crunch is over.
Dont forget there used to be 24-26 cars on race day now 18-20.
So F1 needs more teams coming in.

fota strike again!

Hang on, I'm sure I remember when they used to run with 26 cars at the race start. There also used to be other teams in addition, who didnt qualify for the race, as they were too slow. Hence, by my reckoning, the older tracks would easily be able to accommodate extra teams/cars, just as they did in the early 90s.

And, the newer tracks would've had extra spaces built into the garages, as they have to be future proofed.

Personally, I dont think there would be any problem accommodating 26 cars at the race start. I mean, if Monaco can manage it, then the other tracks can do so, with ease.

HAHA, before opening that JV link, I knew, just knew he'd mention "doing his bit" or "building up the team" even though it was over 6 years ago!

What an idiot.

I agree, what a complete ******, he always was anyway.:D

Villeneuve certainly seems bitter about leaving F1.

I just read that article again and can see nothing bitter in the words at all. Perhaps you would like to point them out

Even when he left he wasn't bitter, even when he was outperforming Heidy and got dropped he wasn't bitter.

He knew he wasn't going to get another drive as long as he was with pollock.

Massa engine just went hence why the change?

Any idea why they are all doing a sighting lap then back into the pits?

Drivers being warned about keeping one wheel on the track when going over the kerbs at the chicanes - joy, wait for the stewards to intervene.
