The Samsung OmniaHD i8910 ... this NEEDS it's own thread.

To be honest with you I would "if you're not happy would 'hang fire' send it back and see happens over the next few months at max. Possible iPhone oled and android oled phone are coming out. :)

Yea its a tough one...i like it but the lack of apps to download and widgets etc are starting to annoy me after 2 days...will see how i feel come monday.

I have not had a reply yet....need your opinions. Not got a 3g iphone - if you were me would you get rid of this and get the iphone or keep it?
I want to stay on orange really as my tariff is better than a 35 month o2 one.

I'd keep this, the iPhone is nice but the crap camera and inferior screen would put me off. But then I have a Touch for all the apps/games anyway.

Yea i might get a touch as currently have a new nano for the gym and dont use my old classic 80gb anymore.then again i dont really need a touch lol. maybe i'm being picky i wanted to be blown away by this phone after waiting so long but its not really delivered the "X" factor lol.

In response to your query regarding your I8910, we do not have any
information on future firmware updates for this handset. Please check
out website or PC Studio 7 for firmware updates.

Well, thanks for that Samsung. Really answered my question.

Hmmm looking at these closely, my contract runs out in 4 weeks and I can find anything else that I want to replace my xda stellar with.

Depends what you need. I needed a new phone and touch screen phones seem to be the latest things so I needed to be impressed after using the ipod touch.

The SOHD as a touchscreen is very fast. The UI is very fluid and fast. I have always had nokia's so symbian was a big plus for me. I have an ipod touch and as mentioned before I would say touch sensitivity is the same if not better than the ipod touch but the samsung UI feels just that little bit faster. IMO its much better than the iphone. Only thing lacking so far is the apps but im hoping with the 5800 and N97 there will be many more apps that can be used. Ive already got a few 5800 apps on my phone and they all work fine except for two. One was the sports tracker and one was checkers game. Loving the phone so far!

Well quite often 'system error' comes up..the browser frequently crashes; every now and then i get a lot of lag and I've also had to take the battery out cos of a frozen phone.

I would probably keep it if it wasn't for the stability problems.

Now ..do I have a faulty phone or is it cos it needs a firmware update.. if it's a firmware update how good are Samsung with support for their phones and how long before they do it if they do?
Shame..the hardware is very very nice and the screen very good and I so much wanted to like the phone.
