Hi , i found a pc on the "OC" store which looks really cool, just i am thinking on changing 1 video card at very same moment i buy it and the second in a year or so. the video cards i would like to use are geforce gtx 295.

could this pc handle the video card i mentioned without causing any trouble? thx in adavance. :)
the porpose of this pc is going to be gaming also i am wondering if the another 6gb of ram could also do anything in mine favour? or it wouldnt change the performance that much? the tips are always appreciated :)

Everything will work fine with the 2 gtx 295s. The PSU is powerful enough and the motherboard is SLI enabled.

I would recommend against adding an extra 6GB of RAM as it will make the PC less stable. Anyway 6GB is more than enough for anything you can throw at it.

Also, I'd recomend getting a better CPU cooler like a TRUE with 2 Noctua p12 fans. This cooler will keep the chip much cooler and allow you to hit higher overclocks. This is pretty important because with such massive graphics power you will likely be CPU bound in games.

You're going to spend around 800 quid on video cards, but go with one of the cheapest core i7 mainboards around

What resolution will you be gaming at? I'd be inclined to go for a 1kw psu for 2x295's tbh, but that much graphical horsepower would be utterly pointless unless you're intending to game at uber resolutions.

Yep don't waste your money on another 295, next gen cards are coming so you can sell your 295 and buy a DX11 card if you want too.

well i have mentioned that i will get the 2nd video card in a year or so :) not in the same time as getting this pc.also i dont see a point of buying the greater i7 processor since the 2.666 ghz one meets all the requared needs of mine i believe its more than enough when its overclocked at 3.6 ghz :).

thx for the tip mate. i wasnt really even thinking of buying the 2 gtx 295 so soon, it sounds a lil crazy to spend 800 pounds on video cards :) 1 gtx 295 should handle everything what walks on the earth at this very moment speaking of games :) the point of this post was to be sure that it could handle 2 graphic cards without any trouble :)

wondering the "oc" could instal them for me if i ask them?
also the first cooler u mention should replace the one i have shown at pc spec correct?

If you go through my initial post again, and actually read it correctly you'll notice I said nothing whatsoever about the cpu, I was in fact referring to your choice of mainboard

You still haven't told us what resolution you intend to be gaming at either, as that would help us aid you in what video card to pick

I'm not sure about the install - but they are nice people so they may do it for you if you ask. That said- installing a graphics card these days is so easy you may as well have the pleasure of opening the box yourself.

The cooler that comes with that build is OK but not the best if you want to overclock heavily. Therefore you would need to replace the cooler with the TRUE yourself. As that will involve removing the motherboard and attaching the cooler and backplate you may want to consider just building the whole PC yourself - its good fun and a great learning experience.

If you want another option for a very good mainboard - the Gigabyte UD5 is only £211 and is one of the best performing X58 boards around - certainly worth the £60 premium.
