It would seem to be about as liable to illustrate their ability to integrate as merely judging them on race (however you choose to define that).
Unfortunately poor DD is a bit insecure and feels uncomfortable when he's not surrounded by people that look, talk or act like him, so 'ability to integrate' includes the criteria of 'doesn't make me feel uncomfortable'.

You do realise we have introduced citizenship tests already?
All the immigrants (first, second and third generation) I know are well integrated, irrespective of where they came from originally, hence why the only sensible solution can be to assess the person, not making blanket decisions based on arbitary factors.
Someone cant "steal" a job, its not yours by right.
And anyway, if someone can come from another country and take your job, then you must be fairly bad at it.
Does it apply to every immigrant wishing to enter our country? No it does not. Do I need to explain the pointlessness of an immigration policy which is strict on a handful of immigrants but lets in all the rest without a second glance?
The whole jobs thing is just capitalism at work. We pay Polish people to do the work because it's cheaper than paying British people to do the work. Everyone wants British jobs for the British, but no one wants to pay the increased prices (and the shareholders don't want the reduced dividends) that using British workers would result in.
What a complete non-sequitur. I suppose if you struggle to get a dentist because of the numbers of immigrants using them, that's your fault too is it, for being 'bad at it' ? Or it's your child's fault for having to sit in a crowded classroom full of children who don't speak English?
Wait, I suppose it's 'racist' to want your kids to be in classes with other kids who speak ENGLISH, so that their schooling isn't disrupted. Silly me.

More rubbish. How can it be that I have worked doing blue collar jobs for low wages where all my colleagues were white British? Surely if you were right then we'd either have all been on great wages or we'd have needed immigrants to do the work?
I am sick of this unfair disparaging of the British worker as lazy and who will not work for low wages - most low paid jobs are still even now done by white British workers. This isn't just my opinion, check the government statistics.
So why are immigrants used instead of british workers then? It's obviously happening, or people wouldn't go on about it. Either the workers are cheaper or they're more productive. Either way they're in some way more viable. If they're not why are they used?
Because they are here. Just because worker A gets the job ahead of worker B, doesn't mean worker A is superior. Read some of Malc30's posts, someone who actually has experience of the subject and knows what he's talking about which is more than most here can say.
Typical lazy cop out. Knee jerk response instead of actually looking for the real reasons. That's exactly how racist political groups do their recruiting.

Ha, I knew I'd be called racist for pointing out that the sheer numbers of immigrants have overwhelmed our public services like dentists and schools.
That's far more down to the sheer number of natives who want the service but expect others to pay for it than immigrants... Especially as Labour have systematically replaced productive private sector employment with unproductive public sector employment...

You're right. We never had anyone to run shops or our health service before we opened the immigration floodgates. It's amazing Britain managed to be a world superpower for centuries really isn't it, considering how lazy or useless we apparently are
