Awww poor gimpy wimpy pimpy still smarting from your defeat are we??:D...i heard you brummies talk an awful lot of crap as well:p...

Ooohh name calling, very grown up.

I'm not smarting at all if you the thread I gave my opinion on the match in a constructive manner :)

I'm also not a Brummy

All I did was point out you talk **** when it comes to football and will now disappear again until Arsenal play one of the top 4 when you will miraculously appear again and astound us with your knowledge of football.

No idea how he got away with that 2 footed lunge on Puyol near the Man Utd goal. How on earth isn't that a card? Most dangerous tackle of the night by a stretch. He's good, but he's an absolute baby.

lolz? There was barely any contact and that's why he didn't get a card.

Did you see Scholes challenge? It was far worse and most definitely the 'most dangerous tackle of the night by a stretch'

Sorry my apologies for calling you a brummie...was under the impression that Wolves and Brummie were more or less the same :o...well last time i was there it seemed like it was to me.

Dont take it personally gimpy, was only poking some fun...guess your still a bit touchy from your loss last night...i can understand that:).

My knowledge of football??..i dont claim to know everything about the game...i just give my opinion as to how i see the games being played...i promise i wont astound you with my knowledge of football anymore:D.

As for the Arsenal dig??...think you have me confused with DM;):p.

Touche I momentarily forgot about that horror 'tackle' from Scholes. But Ronaldo was sliding in at speed, with studs showing on BOTH feet, it was very wreckless and could have done serious damage if contact had been made. I thought it deserved a card for intent as it's the type of tackle that breaks legs.

What are you on?

Please point me to where I have been 'touchy' or where I am 'smarting' from defeat.

Just a side point to people who insist that Barcelona shouldn't have been in the final, I can't help but laugh out loud.

The number of times I've heard the following example:

Home team's defender pulls goalkeeper back so he can't get to a shot.
Home team scores.
Away team complains after the match that the home team held back the keeper.
Because he wasn't caught, the statement is "It's part of the game."

It happens all the bloody time, and yet when it happens to them, it's a completely different story.

If it's part of the game, fine, it's part of the game. But you have to take that on the chin no matter which way it goes. *cough cough*

Ronaldo didn't touch him though did he?

I'm sure the only thing that he caught Puyol with was a trailing arm on the challenge.

You don't need to touch the player for it to be deemed a dangerous tackle though.

Any two footed tackle is deemed dangerous and most are shown a red regardless of if contact is made.

Meh, Puyol dived and then kicked VDS and dived again.

Shame really because he was exceptional on the night playing out of position.

It's true that you don't need to touch someone for it to be dangerous, but it wasn't dangerous. It was very low as well. If his studs were up and at knee height you'd have seen a card.

The famous Man United went to Rome to see the Pope
The famous Man United went to Rome to see the Pope
The famous Man United went to Rome to see the Pope
The famous Man United went to Rome to see the Pope

And this is what he said...

I know a team called Liverpool, we've had them here before,
They were here in '77 and again in '84,
You say you're Kings of Europe,
but The Reds have won much more just it was about 10 popes before me that they actually won all this stuff they sing about

So this is what I say...

WHO THE **** ARE MAN UNITED (etc etc)

Fixed

Meh, I just think it was a wreckless, stupid, dangerous and pointless challenge that deserved a yellow. You can't start doing that every time things don't go your way, it's disrespectful

Deserved to lose, just couldn't get into the game after the first 10 minutes, a very flat performance. And for all those crowing about the result, just remember this, we won the league and we're going to win it again next year. And what have your teams won? Naff all...get used to it.

I'm not a fan of a single one of Man Utd's midfielders. If it wasn't for our great defence and great attack they would have been shown up a long time ago. And I'm talking even last season.

Carrick needs time and space to play his passing game, deprive him of that like he was yesterday and he's pants. Plus he's defensively awful.
Giggs has never been consistent in his main position as winger, he was never going to pick up and be consistent in this new midfield role.
Anderson had potential but doesn't seem to be going anywhere with it. he has nice passing, but has no drive and no creativity to unlock defenses. And again very average defensively.
Scholes is past it.
Hargreaves when he is playing is good defensively and has good running, but has no passing game.

Park and Fletcher are good squad players and provide a lot of running for the team but they're not world beaters. They're just on the team to hassle the opposition.

Basically what Keane and Scholes used to do for us 10 years ago, we now need 3 or sometimes 4 players to do, and still not do as well.

I'd swap our whole midfield listed above for Xavi and Iniesta. Hell they can even have Ronaldo to boot. Absolutely awesome players. I think by far the best pairing in world football and both deserve to be contenders for best player in the world.

Alonso's exactly the same. Given time and space he's world class but close him down or ask him to do the dirty work and he looks half the player. Thankfully with Mascherano alongside him he doesn't have to worry about that side of the game.

Despite numerous signings Fergie still hasn't found a worthy replacement for either imo.
