it IS the dust.

Indeed, open your PC case up and you'll notice it collected around every orifice/slit where it can build up. Smell it and it will smell soapy.

AP is poo anyway ;p a standard deo is best.

Someone get off their asses and invent a dust fan/filter thingymaghibagbesrz

Among quite a few others.

They're expensive. If you'd prefer to keep your pennies, a simple ioniser will help. Make sure you clean it often or dust will get attracted to the nearest wall, and won't come off again.

Rocket science it ain't. :p

PS - dust killed my fridge/freezer last weekend. Vacuuming an intake at the bottom would have sorted it before it died, but it seems a lot of people forget.

How much would something like that cost? Can't see a price but would be VERY interested in buying one.

I'm in the same situation. Left it for 3 weeks and given room a clean today. I try to ignore it but its too hard, going to spray my deodrant elsewhere though ;). Anyone had any personal exprience with those purifiers? Wouldn't mind saving up for one but dont want to waste money on something that makes noise and doesn't actually do anything. Oh and yes, I do hoover - 3 times a week. :).

Fella, you live in a city. Quite possibly in an old house; they seem to be made of dust. If you live close to a road, you're going to having the particulates from the exhausts making their way inside too.

It's odd, I live in an attick room next to a busy road and I get practicaly zero dust. My fortress has dust filters and after 2 months and quite a lot of carpentry going on in the room they are barely even dirty, no dust in the case anywhere.

Apparently a jug full of water placed in the room will reduce the level of dust by soaking up the air or something according to my mate's wife.

I've yet to test the validity of that statement though.
