What MMORPG are you currently playing?

Yeah, right. :p
Until blizzard's next mmorpg, you mean.
Don't think anyone will be able to avoid it.

Nope, Blizzard arent gods to me so it wouldnt matter if it was their MMO. Been playing MMOs for 13 years now and have pretty much seen the genre go backwards from what I wanted it to do. There is simply nothing in development that interests me and everything that looks like it might possibly ever be released is all pretty much a clone of the EQ style MMO, which is exactly what I am trying to avoid.

AoC but not playing much at all anymore, bored of it and getting fed up waiting for a game that's going to keep me playing for a couple of years again.

:(
Funny how I played them all and not even one makes me wanna play it again...
AOC was big fun to me, was the second on my server to hit level 80... but then - got bored to death, doing onyx chambers over and over again, grinding kesshata (Or something like that?) and so on, just made me quit.

Darkfall Online, has to be one of the best MMORPG's I've played since I quit WoW, It's heavily debated at the moment as something not to try but if you find yourself with a decent community then this game is epic, never thought I'd find game politics fun but it is very enjoyable.

Blizzard are the only company who can make a proper, quality MMO. Warhammer, LOTRO, conan, couldn't even get the basics right.

Depends somewhat what you are looking for in an MMO really, I dont think you can really apply a blanket statement like that. For many people LOTRO is far superior to WoW. For many people EQ2 is far superior to WoW. For many people what Origins achieved in UO is utterly light years ahead of what Blizzard did with WoW (I fit into this category :) )

It all kind of varies based upon what the user wants from their MMO.

Yes and they've had their games out for 5 years...

I hate it when people think WoW is the best MMO out simply because their are no bugs, they've been developing it for 5 years so it's bound to be more attractive.

AoC, War & Every MMO out there has it's own appeal, Eve is entirely differant but doesn't mean it has no Quality.

Always playing Eve. Will carry on with warhammer online when I'm home from Uni (damn Uni firewall blocks the game :( )

Wrong. When i very first played WoW i was absolutely blown away by it, the quality of it, the amazing world. When i played Warhammer online i was stunned at how my dwarf looked like he was floating.

DAoC

No other MMO has a PVP ruleset that works so utterly well and blends with the PVE element.

WAR was developed by the same people apparently, personally I think WAR pvp was designed on a friday afternoon while the dev's were thinking about a pint down the pub...

WoW does have a very well designed gameworld, I will definately agree with that.

(UO in its prime still chews WoW up and spits it out onto the virtual rubbish dump for me, but thats just me :) )

I had the same feeling, WoW is very well designed, but I also loved the way War was layed out it had exactly the same feeling of awe looking at the surroundings (and AoC has to be the best looking MMO I've played).

but now it boils down to gameplay, I got sick of WoW and wanted something completely differant.

thing about wow, is its not really an MMO, more of a multiplayer RPG like diablo.

90% of the top levels just sit in cities till they go to raid/instance/pvp.

its exactly like diablo 2 in the lobbies.

doesnt feel like a 'world' at all for the most part.

saying that, im still an addict.
