What MMORPG are you currently playing?

WoW has become terrible since burning crusade and especially wrath of the lich king, and no other good MMORPG is out. There are the ancient ones but everyone who is interested has played them to death.

I still have my WOW account however really don't play it very often. The game is messed up in my opinion, I can see that Blizzard may have tried to make things more accessable to the casual player but it has really taken the fun away from it. AOE has spoilt it, when I started playing WOW I was a warrior MT, running instances, raiding you would be carefull with classes, crowd control (Mage sheep, Rogue Sap etc) now you have AOE tanks and everything can be AOE'd down, no tactics, really bad - even a rogue has AOE now. PvP is not balanced either, DK's seem to be the idiots character of choice, I played my mates DK the other day, had no idea how to play the class and still managed stupid dps.

LOTRO for me.

Played WoW to death since day one and slowly seen it decline from the best MMORPG out there without a doubt to the terrible mess it is now, too busy pandering to people and making it easy. There is zero challenge to the game and it just bores me.

That being said back in the day it WAS the best, two best experiences for me was eventually clearing Naxx 40 and the first time I ever went into Black Temple. Will never forget the game but these days even if Blizzard payed ME I wouldn't go back to the game.

Just quit WoW again so nothing atm.

Don't think I'll look at anything else until SW:The Old Republic comes out, I hope it will be worth the wait.

It's much improved from what it was like at release but still lacking endgame content, especially in PvP.

It has a large patch on the test server just now that should be on the live servers within the next month, completely revamps items, fixes LOTS of broken skills and feats on classes and adds a new end game area called Tarantia Commons in the Noble District.

Blizzard are the only company who can make a proper, quality MMO. Warhammer, LOTRO, conan, couldn't even get the basics right.

yep, blizzard subsitute content, pvp, and anything else with grinding.
Aslong as you can grind you'll do well at wow.
being palying a lot of warhammer online lately finding it very goood for a casual step into.

Cheers. With any luck it will be downloaded in time for me to give it a try tonight.

Eve currently, which it a decent game.

Only thing that slighlty interests me is SWTOR. I like the fact it seems to be keeping a single player storyline along with the standard multiplayer elements.

Hopefully it'll be a mix of Kotor and SWG, minus the economy.

Just got my pony on LOTRO only taken me 6months to get to level 35 :D

Also installed the Ryzom trial last night for nostalgias sake, awesome game for the way it handles skills/crafting and I love the art style, just a pity theres isnt much to the game, like a proper quest lines and more features etc. Would love to see a good sequel to it or another MMO to borrow from how it does skills.

Back on EverQuest 1 after a 10 month break - subscribed for 2 years, 2 accounts. :)

Apart from Graphics, I just cant seem to get into any other mmorpg, I've tried, EQ 2, WoW, Vanguard, AoC.

None of the games seem complex enough, would like to see a game based on the Rolemaster Ruleset.

Or maybe bring out upto date versions of Pools of Radiance, Curse of Azure Bonds, Hillsfar etc.

Heroes of the Lance played great on the Spectrem 48K+ lol. ;)

I put that guy on ignore months ago :)

LOTRO here, but it's not going to last me forever, and I can't see anything promising on the horizon either.

I was always a UO player back in the day, and entirely missed out EQ. WoW was the first MMO I played that was anything like it at all (after going to DAOC from UO). Im going to give EQ a go now, been meaning to for years.

Downloading the trial as we speak.

Been persisting on and off with WAR since release but theres something I that doesn't feel quite right about it. Its decent enough but the comunity spirit doesn't seem there.

I would love to resub to DAoC but can't stand TOA, I'm still hoping the origins servers make an appearance. DAoC we actually got together to do stuff just for fun not for uber loot which you have to have other uber loot requirements before anyone will even consider allowing you to join in......

I think that makes sense, red win doesn't make for entirely coherant postage....
