What can Sony possibly do to top Microsoft now?

I have to admit, the Microsoft press conference was nothing short of amazing. Even all the junk internet services and motion sensing stuff were still huge announcements.

I really can't see Sony putting on a better show. Microsoft were all about the entertainment, Sony will more than likely just be an old fashion press conference. I think the only huge announcement they can really make is bringing back bc through emulation and putting PS2 games on the PSN. Even then, thats still kinda meh meh compared to what Microsoft announced.

Are there any rumors going around to what Sony have in plan? Anyone got the scoop?

I'm calling it now. PS2 emulation. Sony press conference. :D

Only the mightiness of FF7 remake could probably top what Microsoft have shown but it isn't going to happen.
 
Listening to a variety of podcasts from last week a load of them were saying Sony had a crazy amount on unannounced stuff that was going to blow people away. I agree they have a tough act to follow as I was really happy with the game and demos shown at the MS one, but by the sounds of things Sony has plenty up its sleeve game wise.
 
As a console i'm perfectly happy with the PS3, so all i care about is what games i get to see. I'm hoping Trico will make an appearance, that would make my day.

There's also still the 'super secret cannot talk about' title that the BBC guy was banging on about midway through last year.

I doubt we'll get any of the above though apart from maybe another pre-rendered GOW trailer.

If they release a slim PS3 (likely) with a fairly large price drop and an FFVII remake they'll have a pre-order from me :p

This, if they remade it all it would need is a graphics overhaul. Possibly voice acting but with the option to turn it off for those that don't want it.

I probably would buy a PS3Slim if it had PS2 compatibility only if to get rid of my PS2.
 
They don't really have to do a lot.

The 360 got what... some uninteresting looking exclusives, an expensive Eyetoy, and Sky Sports functionality.

I thought E3 was about big announcements, not the re-hashing of years old technology.

This isn't a rant at Microsoft, just at the whole industry. I bet Sony will just talk about FFXIII and GT5, which people have known about for a while.
 
Probably PS3 Slim and PSP Go mentioned, then games like GT5, FF13 Versus, Trico, MAG, Heavy Rain, GoW, DC Universe, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, White Knight Chronicles. Hopely MGS5 but I doubt it due to the Raiden game.
