WD Caviar Green SATA hard drives reduce power consumption by up to 40% and offer best-in-class acoustics and operating temperature. Based on WD's exclusive GreenPower technology, these drives are designed to deliver power savings as the primary attribute. As hard drive capacities increase, the power required to run those drives increases as well. WD Caviar Green drives make it possible for energy-conscious customers to build systems with higher capacities and the right balance of system performance, ensured reliability, and energy conservation. They are ideal for PCs, external storage and other devices that require lower power consumption and cool, quiet operation.

The prices are getting better, but I think some competition is needed from other manufacturers to get those prices down. Especially when you consider 2* 1Tb Green drives are only £136.

1.5tb seagate = £100 so 2tb should be 1/3 more expensive £133.33 until it gets to that price i think i'll pass:P

Where is samsung and seagate when you want them, hurry up with 2tb drives boys!

Please read the FAQ about competitors pricing people. However, I have adjusted our 1.5TB Green price ;) :)

Link comes up with XFX GTX260 black Edition

Fixed. Ta :)

Samsung have cancelled their 2TB drive for now. Seagate isn't far off but is currenty priced the same as WD. Both companies need to claw margin back at the moment and drives such as these will allow them to do it until the likes of Hitachi & Samsung join in.

getting there, but agreed with others in comparisions to the 1tb prices it just dont justify 200 quid+ price tag, needs to drop by £50 easily ;)
