Congratulations to the BNP for winning their first ever county council seats.
how do think the BNP will faire at the European Elections.?
Yes I would allow them to get a job as teacher or police man as long as they don't force there own opinion on the public. If they do there job well, then it's fine.

I don't agree with that. As long as he didn't go around beating up asians and did his job correctly and professionally i think it's fine. As i said it's regulation. It's the same thing as there being a law that can't be colored and be a policeman. There both anti-liberal.The BNP member who was sacked from the police, because you can't be a member of the BNP and a policeman?

If however they found he was abusing other peoples rights, that's a cause for a sacking.

If however they found he was abusing other peoples rights, that's a cause for a sacking since his doing his job wrong. if you did your job wrong in other professions you would also get sacked.
At least it'll be quiet now until the general election next year, when they will do, as expected, equally badly.
I don't think the police should voice support for any party on the job. It's not professional.Sadly his only crime was BNP membership. I don't even think police are allowed to vote BNP or voice support for the party.
No suggestion of any wrong doing - clean record, sucks to be under the liberal jack boot
To be fair I have more sympathy with liberal views than fascist but power corrupts. Russia thought it was getting lenin and ended up with stalin - a lesson from history that moderates are the safe bet.
Agreed. It's far more appropriate to judge them based on their showing on local elections, or European elections, where the vast majority of people will proceed to not vote for them.Other than as a protest there is little point voting for them under a first past the post system, is there. So it is unfair to judge them on their showing in such a poll. The system as you well know is heavily biased against smaller parties, to make sure they stay small.

Private life is ok. On the job is wrong, since your not doing it professionally. Your letting your personal views effect your job.Even when they are off duty? In their private life? Aren't they allowed to have one?
