Istanbul - TURKEY Grand Prix 2009 - Race 7/17

DannyJo - Thats why Rubens wont win the DWC :D

Could do with another one of those to make sure :D

Rubens certainly doesn't seem to want to admit his problems are all his own doing. Hinting that maybe it's unfair that things are going wrong just on his car.

Saying that I'm backing Rubens to ruin the silverstone party ;)

I take your point lol

Did anyone else hear Brundle say during the race "Webber would rather eat his own fingers than let Vettel past". Thought that was brilliant. :D

Another great drive from JB, as well.

There seemed to be a lot of post race coverage this week which I thought was quite good.

Relatively short race compared to a few this season - about 1.40 I think, which is why the BBC still had time left for the commentary

(always feel cheated slightly without the post race stuff -especially the driver interviews)

I'm still blown away by the BBC coverage this year. We are in the garages, virtually in the cars at some points of pre-race, interviews with all the team people behind the scenes, the post-race Forum - it's absolutely stonking, ITV did virtually nothing on this level.

I like it when "Crazy Dave" joins in the gridwalks too :D

Excellent performance by Button, he really was a cut above throughout the entire race.

oohhh I forgot to add - first time Ive listened to R5L audio which is great.....

BUT IT IS FRIGGIN ANNOYING to be interrupted every few minutes by non vital tennis / cricket news - its ridiculous

Fine take a few seconds to say teenis will be on straight after - I have no problem with that - ooohhh players are coming onto the court , how ***** stupid (and they where describing that for about 2 minutes it seemed)

Still miss Brundle though lol but its worth it to get rid of Leg-git lol

Im not going to compromise JB's season by trying to guess how many wins he can get this season - so Im going to say NO MORE

Reallly only one team able to beat Brawn if they get everything perfectly right over the weekend - every other team is fundamentally flawed in at least one area (race pace) if not several.

Im sure at one track soon Ferrari will get ahead and gain a pole, it will be interesting to see how the race pans out and if anyone can get past them
We know RB's couldnt in a few races, but they have already got significantly better (and Rubens today while he made mistakes, we cant put 100% down to him, so the McLarens holding him up may not be the true story)

Indeed, the the trio are working well together and I think Jake is doing a fantastic job of holding it all together. Top marks BBC!

Get rid of Legard and Jordan keep the rest. Eddie tries to be the big I am and just come off sounding like a clueless idiot, and I don't know what feed legard is watching, he seems to miss half of what goes on....

Just been thinking...

How many of the 17 races this season do you think Jenson Button will win?

Mal

Enough to win the championship ;)

TBF the Brawn car seems to have more mechanical grip, better aero & reliability than it's main rivals and Jenson is in the zone right now so it's his to lose from here on in. Will Brawn give him such a dominant car next year?

As much as I'd love to see Jenson win multiple championships I think is going to be his only one - compare to Hill & Villeneuve in dominant cars - good drivers but never multiple world champion material.

Red Bull's drivers will take points off each other, Vettel getting the better of Webo overall but each pushing the other and Rubens will become JB's rear gunner quite soon with Mivvi Raikkonen (groan) and Massa too late to the party to have realistic chances.

The only times a driver isn't a multiple world champion is if they don't get a decent car again, they quit or if the lose the desire after the first.

The only thing stopping Jenson become a two time or more champion is if Brawn cannot pull off another good car in the next 3 or 4 years.

Its pretty clear Brawn rates him highly and the next driver to come into that team to replace Rubens will be a no2 or a young driver with potential that should get spanked but if he doesn't they have unearthed a star.

It's a shame Vettel dropped it really, would've been nice to see at least a little fight between him and Button. It was a boring race IMO but there you go. I missed the start so that may explain it!

I wonder what Vettel's response over the radio was when his team said "Webber's faster, save the car" ha.

Commentary is still terrible although I have to agree with Lopez about the rest of the coverage, some interesting interviews at the start! And DC/Button exchanging knowing looks after DC asked about the "pillow" was a classic :D

Hill was very very close, then moved (strangely) to a poor car. Not sure you could say he wasnt

1, Button
2, Barrichello
3, Webber

The RBR wear tires out to fast and I can see button taking Vettel on the first few
corners or after 8 laps when his tires are gone(monaco anyone)

Well I was not to far away :D

Well done to JB and BrawnGP there is no stopping them now.
and why in gods name did they put vettal on a 3 stopper he was faster then webber.
